It’s been two weeks since the last Legend decks roundup. I couldn’t do one last week, because a big patch dropped just a few days before and I didn’t have enough decks to post yet. The patch itself did pretty much what it was supposed to do – it killed Yogg Druid. The deck isn’t just weaker now, it’s completely unplayable (it dropped from like 52% WR to around 33% WR). While others could adapt to losing Yogg, Druid relied on the card just a bit too much AND it had two of its strongest cards hit. I’m honestly not sure if I agree with that approach, I think that the Yogg nerf alone was enough, but hey, it is what it is.
Other than Druid, nerfing Yogg didn’t really kill any other deck in Standard, because no other deck 100% relied on it. It was always a nice addition, but not a build-around card. Currently, the most dominating deck is Enrage Warrior. It’s strong, because it can both win through the mid game tempo and board-wide buffs, as well as through an OTK combo (buff Crazed Wretch or Grommash Hellscream in your hand, damage them with Sanguine Depths and then copy with Battleworn Faceless). Right now it’s the deck to beat, but the likes of Big Mech Rogue (Mech Rogue with Thunderbringer shenanigans) or Thaddius Warlock are close behind it. Then we have the usual suspects that have been powerful throughout most of the TITANS expansion – decks like Arcane Hunter, Rainbow Mage, or Pure Paladin. Those are your safe choices. Control Warrior is also okay, although it suffers from some bad popular matchups. If you like this meta – play the heck out of it as much as you can. And if you hate it – you won’t have to wait long, as the new expansion should shake things up soon.
Good news is that we already know all of the Showdown in the Badlands cards. The set is releasing in 9 days, on November 14. I’m quite excited for the comeback of Highlander decks in particular, but the whole set looks fun. The question is – will it be good enough to impact the meta? Beucase while it is fun, if both Highlander and Excavate decks flop, I’m worried that we’ll be back to mostly TITANS meta, maybe with some changes. I hope it won’t happen, but we’ll see in 2 weeks or so.
We also have a new season of Twist – Wonderful Un’Goro. It’s the same Wonders ruleset, just with the addition of Un’Goro expansion. At least the cards were buffed enough that they are pretty impactful and the meta has changed a bit, but to be perfectly honest, I didn’t even play a single match this expansion. I almost hit Legend during the first season, then Platinum in the second, and I just gave up for now. Sure, the meta changes a bit, but I really hate the fact that they reused basically the same expansions 3 season in a row. I know that they did it so people who invested into Caverns of Time didn’t feel bad, but they could keep CoT in the rotation while using different time periods… or something. I don’t know, I just think that they handled the launch and early seasons of Twist pretty poorly. It’s a great idea, but the execution was lacking. I hope that they make it up in the future seasons.

Hi, not sure if you’re aware but any of your decks with E.T.C. in them in this article do not fill the sideboard automatically, is there any way you could list the E.T.C. cards along with it?
Hey! Yes, I’m aware. Sadly our deck codes don’t support ETC and I don’t think that anything can be done with it for now.
Any deck that has ETC in it lists the sideboard in the description. It’s just that deck descriptions aren’t copied when I link a deck in another post. You need to click on the deck list you’re interested it, scroll down a bit, and you will see it.
