Fall of Ulduar mini-set has dropped earlier this week. I know that I’m repeating it every time we get a mini-set, but for some reason, they’re always underestimated by players. “Those cards are bad, nothing will see play, nothing will change” – that’s what I always hear after a mini-set gets revealed. And just like always, it turns out that the set had bigger impact than some players might have expected. This time the main “culprit” is Yogg-Saron, Unleashed. A new Neutral Titan turned out to be so powerful that he quickly became the second most-played card in the game (after Ignis, the Eternal Flame) with over 40% play rate. And still growing – I would argue that many builds that should be playing him don’t play him.
Probably the worst thing about the mini-set is that while sure – it was impactful – most of the decks that benefitted from it were already great. For example, Odyn Control Warrior was one of the best decks in the game last week… and it’s still on the top because it got some new tools. Same thing with Arcane Hunter – it was great before and it’s still great. However, if we look past those, I think that the biggest winner was Druid – Miracle Druid in particular. While you might hate this kind of gameplay pattern, and the deck is quite difficult to play, it’s hard to argue with the results. Lots of pro players took the deck to high Legend ranks and it just works. However, it might not work for much longer as Blizzard already teased a Gadgetzan Auctioneer nerf. So if you like it – play it while you still can. And if you hate it – just wait a tiny bit longer.
If you want a more comprehensive analysis of the mini-set meta, you should definitely read this article from Old Guardian. It showcases the changes in old decks as well as the new and promising decks.
As for the Wild and Twist, sadly the meta stayed mostly the same. People experimented with some new mini-set cards in Wild, but Twist is literally the same as it was 3 weeks ago. I didn’t even bother posting any new Twist decks because nothing has changed, every single shared deck I found online was Discard Warlock, Jade Rogue, Control Warrior or Face Hunter. We should FINALLY get a balance update next week so things might change. Then next Sunday a new Twist season starts and it might also shake things up a bit (if you missed it – it’s going to be the same as the current one, just with extra “XL” rules).
Below is a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.

Hearthstone Twist Legend Decks of the Week
No new decks this week, because the meta didn’t change at all.
You can find previously posted decks here – just pick any of them and they will work fine. I hope that I can post more decks next week after balance changes.

I’m not into randomness, but what’s not to love about that Wild Yogg Rogue? Pure genius!
