Scholomance Academy is here! It’s our first Legend decks compilation in this expansion – last week we were still posting new decks live, so it wasn’t necessary. Just like usually, the meta has been changing nearly daily – a few new decks have been discovered since the expansion’s beginning. Especially now, the new season of Grandmasters has really pushed the deck building competition – I’m sure that a lot of the builds we’ve seen over the weekend will start seeing more play. We also haven’t heard anything about a balance update, which is kind of unexpected given the last two expansions had very quick nerf patches. To be fair – the current meta is quite balanced compared to the previous two.
Even the deck that stands out winrate-wise (Pure / Libram Paladin) is generally liked by players and they don’t expect a quick nerf. Guardian Animals Druid is kind of another story, because even if it’s not the #1 deck in the meta, players are sick of having to face the early ramp into massive tempo push from the titular Guardian Animals (or – even worse – some degenerate Kael'thas Sunstrider combos). But given that the deck doesn’t stand out winrate-wise and isn’t wrapping the entire meta around itself, we might have to wait a bit longer to see a patch.
If you’re interested in seeing the current meta deck ranking, check out our freshly updated Meta Tier List (lined below). It should give you a pretty good understanding of which decks are the best right now.
