Not only the meta is mostly stable, but high ranked players were playing safe this week, since it was very close to the ladder reset and a new season. Which means that we don’t get to see too many exciting decks this week – mostly solid Tier 1 / 2 decks. The next big thing is the release of new Classic cards, and while I don’t think that they will alter the meta drastically, players will still experiment. And as we all know, any kind of experimentation is welcome, as it mixes up the meta a bit. However, the next major meta shift won’t happen until second expansion of 2019 is out. Luckily, we won’t have to wait that long – only ~5 weeks or so, given that expansions usually drop early in the month and August is the next release time. The recent teaser points out that we should see more on July 1 – we still don’t know whether it will be another teaser, more hints or maybe a even full announcement.
But for now, we should focus on the decks that performed best last week. So enjoy!
