We’ve just got another update about the Daily & Weekly Quests. This time it’s about players who not only have missed some Quests, but have been seeing a COMPLETELY EMPTY Quest log. Apparently, it happens if you had a Returning Player Quest chain, but didn’t finish it before the Quest system revamp.
They’re working on it right now and “aim to have a fix out soon”.
UPDATE 11/30: We’ve identified an issue with Weekly and Daily Quests where a player, under certain circumstances, can have a completely blank Quests log and will not receive new Quests. This bug has existed since patch 19.0 launched and is separate from the Weekly and Daily Quests issues hotfixed last week. Affected players are those who have opted out of the Returning Player Experience in the past but did not finish the Quest chain given afterwards. We’re aiming to have a fix out for this issue soon.
But what about the other bugs? Breaking game cards? Broken Duels mechanic? Misspelled text and quest? Disconnects? People Roping & AFK?
Am I wrong to assume that they really doesn’t have enough Unity Programmer to fix problem ASAP?
or their coding language structure is so messy that they need to check the whole coding to find it.
I still remember the time they cut-off hundreds of people. Is this the consequences?
I agree that the game has been a buggy mess ever since the last release. I’ll cut them some slack for two reasons – Hearthstone hasn’t seen such a massive update in years and there’s been a big Holiday last week in the US (Thanksgiving) so it definitely slowed some things down. But they really have to pull themselves together and fix those things this week.
“I still remember the time they cut-off hundreds of people. Is this the consequences?”
Definitely not, people who were fired mostly had non-dev jobs, e.g. community managers and PR people. That said, a lot of devs from HS started working on other projects over the last year or so, and it’s hard to say whether they were replaced with others without having a look inside the company. So it’s something we can’t really answer.
Thanks for the insights. I guess we’ll have to wait.
This “contraption” should have been added as an extra feature for the sake of getting gold, not a whole replacement.
While I don’t mind the new system in general, I think that the perfect approach would be for Quests to give both XP and Gold/Dust/other rewards. Limiting everything to only XP doesn’t feel good.
