Blizzard has just released a cinematic trailer for the new expansion. It’s called “Fractured in Alterac Valley” and it will, to the surprise of no one, be about the Alliance vs Horde conflict. For those unfamiliar with WoW, Alterac Valley is a massive 40v40 Battleground set in a frosty environment.
The expansion is set to release on December 7, which is only 3 weeks from now. It’s shorter than the usual time period between announcement and release mostly because we just had a Deadmines mini-set (which was pushed back by the release of Mercenaries game mode) and they probably didn’t want to pile up the news, let players try out the new cards first before announcing even more.
But that’s not all for today. Patch 21.8 (assuming they go with the usual patch naming) should go live later today and bring four Constructed balance changes – most likely alongside some Battlegrounds/Duels/Mercenaries updates. And according to yesterday’s teaser, we should also get the first card revealed today. Can’t wait for that!
