Gallon, Hearthstone Game Designer, just announced that the dev team is planning a quick hotfix balance update. They’re currently looking at The Azerite Snake (Legendary Excavate Treasure) as it’s a clear sentiment outlier. It’s a very popular deck and players don’t really enjoy facing it.
The main problem is that the combo pieces are easy to assemble and the combo is pretty much unstoppable (outside of a lucky Dirty Rat or something). The problem is that the card steals max health, so no amount of Taunts, Armor or healing can save you. I would expect the reward to get nerfed to just deal 10 damage and heal for 10 instead of stealing max health.
More details will come on Friday. I assume that the patch itself will drop early next week, probably on Tuesday (definitely before Thanksgiving).
Howdy partners, hope y’all are enjoying the first few days of Showdown in the Badlands! We’re planning on a hotfix nerf for The Azerite Snake, as it’s a clear sentiment outlier. More details to come Friday ???? pic.twitter.com/tRgaoqqf3T

It’s literally the third day of the expansion, decks are not optimized yet, meta is not settled. They should have just waited until it did. I bet the excavation warlocks wr would go down as aggro decks win rates go up if only they just waited a little bit. Now the druid will be the new tyrant until meta settles, might as well nerf that while they are at it.
Why would they ever design such a stupid uninteractive card? They even play their own game?
It should be redesigned. Awful.
Meanwhile Paladin aggro uses 0 new card from the new Extension and is looking for his 70% win rate xD
why is it always warlock!! XD
Now I finally understand why my own lifesteal wasn’t working.
I wish people weren’t deranged and constantly playing Plague Death Knight and robbing the fun of the new highlander cards. Plague DK may not be good, but come on.
