Top 2 Chalkboard
General Information
- You get one Standard card pack for winning your first game this week.
- It’s the fifth time we see this Brawl (including Standard version). Last time we’ve seen it on January 11, 2023 (May 16, 2018 for Standard).
- It’s a PvP Brawl.
- The Brawl’s format is Wild.
- It’s a Constructed Brawl. You pick a class and build your own (albeit small) deck.
- This Brawl has inspired the (ultimately more common) Top 3 and Battle of the Bans Brawls.
- Gameplay itself has no extra rules – the only rule comes from deck building. You pick only two cards and you get 15 copies of each one of them in your deck. Which means that you can build the ultimate synergistic decks very easily.
Top 2 Decks & Card Chocies
Here are some of the ideas for “decks” you can build. Please share yours in the comment!
- Any Class – Patches the Pirate + Ship's Cannon or Southsea Captain
- Druid – Embiggen + Patches the Pirate
- Druid – Naturalize + Coldlight Oracle
- Druid – Pounce + Spread the Word
- Hunter – Mechwarper + Metaltooth Leaper
- Mage – Ice Block + Ice Lance
- Rogue – Pogo-Hopper + Shadowstep or Card Draw (e.g. Field Contact)
- Rogue – Deadly Poison + Cutting Class
- Shaman – Desert Hare + Revolve
Try with stonetusk and blessing of might!
Darkshire Librarian + Fist of Jaraxxus!!
Warlock renounce the darkness with whatever. Your deck ends up having more versatility than theirs
Try Druid: Innervate + Loatheb
if you ever feel like you are running into too many mage fireball/ice block decks, try making fatigue of some kind.
Innervate/Coldlight is very fast
Shadowstep/Coldlight is good against minionless decks, as you don’t get capped at 7 oracles.
Warrior Upgrade + Heroic Strike
Paladin Argent Squire + Blood Knight
Priest
Mind Blast and Shadowbomber
I have 2 other suggestions besides warrior:
-Mage: it will counter almost everything. It almost makes you immortal.
Fireball (deals 6 dmg)
Ice Block
Tactic: Just continue casting ice block whenever you can and follow it up with Fire Ball. After that relax and enjoy your win against most of the known decks.
-Hunter:
Use Webspinner together with Scavenging Hyena.. When the first one dies the other one gets buffed. Even if the first 1 dies you still get a random beast into your hand. It will counter lots of the current brawl-decks
Druid- Ravens Idol and Darnassus Aspirant is pretty fun. Only lost once
murloc tinyfin + murloc warleader
because murlocs
Even relative to the insanity of this brawl Target Dummy/Bolster feels like cheating.
I tried Annoy-o-tron and Bolster, but this is probably better!
You should try mage iceblock+fireball deck.. Thats almost a win 100% cause you cant ever kill it.. EVER! (almost)
Ice Block + Molten worked better for me!
Mage — Ice block Fireball eZ Win always face
Druid – Innervate and Shade of Naxxramas
Warrior!
Target Dummy
+
Bolster
Check it out its the best one out there!
Target dummy costs 0 and you can cast it for free. Bolster costs only 2 mana.. Won all so far
I beat it twice with mage (missles/mana wyrm).
Warrior – Upgrade + Dread Corsair
Hunter: Mechwarper + Metaltooth Leaper
Eerie statue + Wailing soul worked pretty nice for me! I chose hunter, but I dont think it matters that much.
Hunter: Mechwarper + Metaltooth Leaper, turn 2 with coin or turn 3 without coin you drop 3 Mechwarper and as many leapers as you have.
Mechwarper, Iron Sensei is an auto conceed if you sit and wait till turn 3 then dump your entire hand, 90% of the time they auto quit on the spot.
astral comunion+ragnaros is good
For Druid I am using Innervate + Yshaarj
Had the turn 1 double 10/10 already. Pretty powerfull and fast.
Yeah, someone beat me with this combo!
Druid
Innervate & Y’shaarj Rage Unbouned
Quick Shot + Animal Companion, always drawing with quick shots
Bilefin Tidehunter + Evolve = GG
Shifter Zerus + Frostbolt
Fiery War Axe + Dread Corsair
Innervate + Forbidden Ancient
Renounce Darkness
Mind Vision
Totemoc Might + Totem Infusion
Rogue: Preparation + Beneath The Grounds
Anyone got anything for paladin?
Forbidden Heal + Palagnaros
Selfless Hero and Loot Hoarder
mechwarper+gorillabot
Intervate and Shredder is a nasty combo
Warrior Axe flinger+ inner rage
Warlock: Lepper nome and soul fire
Fandral Staghelm + Raven Idol
Innervate + Coldlight Oracle = instantly flooding board with 2/2.
4 turn win. Insane.
hunter – webspinner and scavenging hyena
I suggest Timber Wolf + Scavenging Hyena instead. When you get a couple on the board buffing each other, their attack power rises quickly.
Against minion decks other than mechwarper/metaltooth leaper unleash the hounds and timber wolf is better
Ice Block + Forgotten Torch was the roughest.
so easy:
Mage: mana wyrm + arcane missles
shaman: goldshire footman + evolve.
so a guy using yog sarron with ramp it was insane – after the first he conceded…
Southsea Deckhand + Cold Blood
I just lost to a nasty combination, Shaman: Flametongue Totem and Thing From Below
8 wins in a row with this!
warrior – warbot and blood to ichor
Shaman – tunnel trog and lighting bolt
Living roots and savage roar
Druid – naturalize + cold light oracle… Only lost to Warlock – Possesed Villager + PO so far out of 10 games
Yep, this combo is crazy.
This is what I was running, I got murdered by a Mage with magic missile and flamewalker. I think that combo was even better. I also got killed by an innervate Loatheb combo which can’d be defeated with this deck.
Won first try with that deck. They were playing Hunter: Animal Companion & Kill Command. It was closer than I would have liked for most of the game, but the fatigue via forced pulls got them in the end. I’ve never played a fatigue deck before… that was fun!
this has upper hand against pretty much all decks except the ones that are running 2 minions, notably mechwarper + gorillabot. Lost one game to that and one to block+fireball, the mage game was winnable tho and I might have won it if I played early turns differently. Mage was left at 4hp, but turn 4 I naturalized my own coldlight straight away, missing some face damage from it. Not sure how the mana would have worked out tho, last turn 7 was coldlight + 4x naturalize
shieldbearer + Bolster
Ice block + Fireball = Never die
I knew somebody else must have thought of this. It was the first pair I thought of and I’m at 14-0 lol
i’ve just rekt this deck with velen + mind blast. casual heal for 128 each turn )
if you don’t actually care about winning, Thaurissan + Lock n’ Load was fun.
annoy-O-tron + goblin blast mage
Shaman: Mana Tide Totem + Thing from Below
Mage – Arcane Missiles + Mana Wyrm
Nice on the Warlock deck. I’ve been running Tenticles and power.
Warrior – Blood to Ichor + Frothing Berserker
Embrance darkness and flash heal
