Personally my favorite brawl. Kitty power!
I really enjoyed using Jeweled Macaw and Dire Frenzy!!!
This has been one of the best brawls!
So which one is the best deck? Are there any stats somewhere?
power of the wild & snowflipper penguin
going second with 3 flippers and a POTW was almost insta-win. but was about 75-80% otherwise.
Honestly had tons of fun stomping the meta decks with Bring it On + Warpath. Beats all minion decks, destroys spell-burn decks, and beats Mill Druid (explanation later in the comment). You essentially have a full board clear in one card as well as 150 armor’s worth of cards in your deck.
It destroys decks which spam minions, since Warpath kills basically everything that a meta deck would run, and Bring it On gives you enough sustain to last past the early flood. After that point, they’re in topdeck mode and you’ll have a good-sized hand, and if you count the minions they play and Warpath accordingly (trading 1-for-1 against a deck with half minions, and 1-for-2 against a deck which runs all minions).
Against Mind Blast Priest, simply weave in Hero Powers and Bring it On when you recognize they’ll have lethal with the perfect hand. Warpath on the Radiant Elemental is easy, especially if they commit on Mind Blasts over healing Radiant Elemental. Your 150 armor will easily outdo their measly 75 (as you’re trading 10 for 5), and they’re never going to get anything safe on the board past turn 5. As for Twig/Starfire Druid, they’re not going to be able to deal more than 45 damage burst, and by then you would’ve already brought it on at least 2x (and even then, they’d need to get extremely lucky). I’d say the same thing about other burn decks if there were any, but I don’t think there is. But on the off-chance that Fireball + Pyroblast is a thing in an extremely fast paced Brawl, then I’d say you’re facing a difficult matchup.
Mill Druid is an odd matchup, but if they’re running Naturalize + Branching Paths or Feral Howl, they won’t be able to clear their hand of Naturalize (since it requires a minion, and neither of you have minions) and thus mill some of their cards (preferably their non-Naturalizes). You out-armor their Feral Howl (since it 1: costs more, meaning you can weave in more hero powers, and 2: if they’re greedy on hand size, they’ll probably Mill, since they can’t get rid of naturalize and Feral Howl adds another card to your hand). Branching Paths is a weird matchup, but you’ll out-armor them because you do the same thing for 4 mana and one card (including your hero power), plus they’ll still Mill due to the overabundance of Naturalize.
The best thing about the deck is that it doesn’t get countered by anything in the meta. Deck-shuffle cards aren’t really a thing in the brawl since it usually entails a loss in tempo (a valuable asset to most meta decks), and a Mill Druid that’s also runs minions is too slow for the fast-paced meta, feeds the enemy minions, and doesn’t have enough survivability nor card draw to survive for long. And the decks which do more damage to your face than you could possibly have in your deck (mostly Mage with late-game damage) are too slow for the meta.
The only matchups which I’d fear are either the mirror (which will probably end in a draw if not get down to the wire and end up in the favor of whoever uses their Hero Power more), Upgrade Warrior (which I don’t really see but can pose a big threat), or some sort of Dead Man’s Hand abomination (which doesn’t exist in the meta).
Yes, I spent too much time on this when the brawl ends in a few hours… But I wanted to show how smart I was x3
I beat that build with Black Cat and Arcane Missiles. It outraced the armor and removal with the 1 cost cats.
This Brawl has been great fun. All sorts of combos:
Warrior (Animated Berserker, Frothing Berserker)
Priest (Inner Fire, Lightwell)
Hunter (Jeweled Macaw, Animal Companion)
Shaman (Murkspark Eel, Murmering Elemental)
Warlock (Soulfire, Clutchmother Zavas)
Rogue (Sinister Strike, Eviscerate)
PALADIN: Lost in the jungle + Sound the bells! is a much more better deck for this Brawl.
Crystalized Oracle + Squashling on a Priest. You use their deck against them while keeping your health topped off with Squashling (echo).
I have 2 decks that should really be on this list:
Fire Plume Harbinger + Servant of Kalimos (has extreme value endgame)
Squashling + Happy Ghoul (great burst of 0 mana 3/3 minions in the beginning and has good healing)
I managed two fun decks:
Firstly a Feral Gibberer + Cold blood rogue. That was simply funny.
Than the Naturalize + The Darkness druid. Its OP.
The most fun deck against was a mage with Black Cat + Deck of wonders. I lost, but enjoyed!
Pls, blizzard, give us top 3, top 4, top 5 tavern brawl, too 😀
Im join in!
Top 15 tavern brawl Kappa
Hunter – explosive trap, deathstalker rexxar
Beats most agro decks such as murloc because they never trigger the trap until they have 30 dmg on board above 3 health, then you rexxar and if they have no minion above 4 hp you won the board.
Also beats hyena hunter, and call to arms knife juggle pali.
In my opinion, Mill Druid with Naturalize and Novice Engineer, so if your opponent doesn’t spawn minions, you can! (and it also gives the same card draw as the branching paths, with less of a chance to get it again due to having to use 2 rather than 1 card).
and there is a fun rouge deck that consists of Cold blood and Young Dragonhawk.
Terrible idea, any mage deck that just has Frostbolt and Fireball or some other face burn will absolutely destroy you way before you get them down to 0 cards in deck.
So use plated beetle. Seems to be pretty effective.
Bit late to the party, but been having a lot of fun with Unstable Evolution + Witch’s Apprentice.
Southsea Deckhand + Cold Blood is fun.
Lost in the jungle and sea giant is gr8
hallucination and tess best time in hearthstone in a long time my winrate has been aboit 50/50. tip against mill druid try to find twig its kinda broken whit tess
Thank you, friend. I subbed out Hallucination for Blink Fox and am 3/3 so far. Best part is I have golden Blink Fox and Tess so the matchup is just so fun. 🙂
The meta seems to have mostly settled into Duskbreaker priests and Mana Wyrm/Black Cat + Arcane Missiles. Was wondering why I wasn’t seeing more paladins until I tried Call to Arms + Knife Juggler, went up against Dusbreakers, and was out of Knife Jugglers by like turn 7.
For me, shadow ascendant and either tar lurker or tortollan shellraiser worked quite well
Would Crystal Core work?
Absolutely not.
I have had good success with this 2 card mage deck so far.
x1 Frost Nova
x1 Fireball
try to start your hand with mainly frost Nova as delaying tactics until you can use multiple fireball
Haven’t seen this one here yet. Earthen scales + ironwood golem. Try it 🙂
I tried it and was surprised, so far i’ve got 3 wins in a row. I won against 2 mages and 1 warrior. If you have the coin you can stop their attack, and then, since you have many earthen scales, you just gain all your life back in armor. Really great deck. I recommend it
hunter —-> timber wolf + crackling razormaw
JM and the CR is a very good combo too.
Rogue
Hallucination + Blink Fox is so mutch fun
Lost In The Jungle + Crystal Lion. I am amazed how well it works
Voodoo Doctor + Happy Ghoul = So Fun!!!
Not kidding my highest win rate deck was Angry Chicken and Fallen Sun Cleric with Mage. I won almost 100% of the games I went first, going second is really tough though and I lost like 80% of those games.
epic deck
You’d be amazed how many opponents have conceded on turn two or three when they see my golden Angry Chicken drop and get hit with Dark Conviction.
Sorcerers Apprentice + Primordial Glyph is nuts trust me.
This was SO much fun, thank you!
Also Cleric+Inner Fire is pretty good too.
You go Cleric (coin cleric) into inner fire everything the moment it can attack
Angry Chicken + Dire Frenzy = 100% win rate
hahahaha yessss!
you mean a -100% winrate?
Curse of weakness + anything (currenly running Lifedrinker)
Angry Chicken + Power Word: Shield xD
Tried that too, didn’t work 🙂
just won 12 – 0 and counting with mana wyrm and arcane missles
Mirror Image and Knife Juggler. Beats everything, especially Mana Wyrm mages 🙂
I pretty much enjoyed the Hunter’s spirit with:
Candleshot + Southsea Deckhand;
Is dumb and deadly as it sounds
Also for Hunters, Crackling Razormaw and Scavenging Hyena Dominates the Druid combo of Naturalize and armor cards. Just make sure you adapt some minions to immunity from spells and hero powers.
Wait until Turn 4 against druid. If you have The Coin, turn 3. Make sure you play the hyena and then adapt it. Playing before you can combo this out will just get it naturalized. Then it’s pretty much auto win, don’t be afraid if they are trying to fatigue you.
Worked well against Arcane Missiles and Mana Wyrm also. Dire Mole and Crackling Razormaw also wins.
Radiant Elemental + Unidentified Elixir
For the diversity:)
I had the same idea!
I didn’t win 100% of the time, but it was probably the most fun out of any combo I’ve tried.
The best are Mana Wryn+ Frostbolt
I only loss to a druid with naturalize+Druid of the scythe the rest are a easy win!
Mountain giant and apple turn 3 8/8 are fun
