You are given three options when you start the game:
This will add 20 of the portals to your deck of the particular theme. The themes are based off of the StarCraft races: Tech = Terrans, Swarm = Zerg, Mind = Protoss. The portals cost 1-mana and reduce the randomly generated card’s cost by 3-mana. The tech portal is mech/human engineer-y themed cards, swarm portal is creepy/silithid based, and the mind portal is mostly priest themed.
You are not guaranteed a portal card in your first draw which is not great when you miss it because you’ll want to be casting these as much as possible.

Not gonna lie. I’m disappointed that there is zero Starcraft art on the cards in this brawl.
Double for me, buddy. Don’t know why I was thinking there’d be actual Zerg card art on these guys, it’s pretty obvious now they’d use similarly-themed cards. Sigh, guess if we want aliens, we’re gonna have to start a petition or something. Blizzard will do anything if it makes them a buttload of cash; let em know you want it, they’ll make it.
I won my duel with Shaman/Zerg combo. Was fun.
I think Terran Rogue is the best proactive combo.
