General Information

  • You get one Standard Card Pack for winning your first game this week.
  • This is the sixth time we have seen this Brawl. The last time we saw it was on September 27, 2023. Additionally, it was one of the possible Brawls in the “Cavalcade of Brawls”.
  • It’s a premade decks Brawl. No need to create a deck, just pick a class and play!
  • It’s a PvP Brawl.
  • The Brawl’s format is Wild.
  • Your starting deck contains 30 copies of Raven Idol, so instead of having random cards in your deck, you discover random cards.
  • This is another heavy RNG Brawl, although the RNG factor is slightly reduced by the fact that you get to Discover the cards instead of just having to play what is in your deck. So the overall power level of played cards will be a bit higher. On the other hand, since Raven Idol costs 1 mana, you will need to add that to the cost of everything you Discover.
  • The main decision is whether you want to get minions or spells. I’d say that spell discovery is slightly stronger overall (because there are a lot of filler Neutral minions, while spells are all from your class). However, you also need some minions to win – so the early game strategy should be to discover some (hopefully low-cost) minions, push the tempo, and then start discovering spells.
  • Picking a class that has a strong spell pool, especially including spells that can create more board presence (e.g. Druid or Mage) might be a good idea. You can also consider Warlock or Hunter for their Hero Powers – Warlock doesn’t run out of cards (but unless the game goes for really long it’s not a big deal in this Brawl anyway) and Hunter can always dish out some extra damage to hopefully seal the game + the class has a lot of burn spells in the pool.

Just play priest or mage since they are “underpowered”.

Unless you face Priest. Just had an epic match and he/she used a lot of heals. We ended up out of cards, fatiguing (don’t seem to take take fatigue damage in TB). Ended up using one of my own spells, Arcane Missiles, to finish me :).

I found Mage to be the best, at least for me. Early on, try to get some of the good minions, and after a few turns, only look for spells like Pyroblast, Fireball, etc. You can actually just go for spells from the beginning, since it is unlikely your opponent will get healing and you can use the spells for face damage or board clear.

I went for Mage hoping to be able to build an epic Mana Wurm but never got one from the Raven Idol (yeah, I know the odds were against it, especially as it was using the Wild set). Still won though… Mage is always good with random nonsense.
