General Information

  • Earn a Standard card pack for your first win in this Brawl.
  • This is the tenth time we see this Brawl. Last time we’ve seen it on April 20, 2022.
  • This is a PvP Brawl.
  • Brawl’s format is Wild.
  • It’s a premade/random decks Brawl. Just pick a class and play!
  • Your deck is full of 2 mana 2/3 vanilla Pirates (so no reason to mulligan). They’re basically filler cards, so you can play something in the early game even if you don’t pick any cheap cards.
  • Every turn, instead of drawing a card, you get to Discover something and put it into your hand. It follows the usual Discover rules – you can only get cards from your class and Neutrals. Keep in mind that after the changes to Discover mechanic, both Neutral and Class cards have the same Discover rate, so you will pick between 3 Neutrals very often!
  • Don’t be too greedy – you should start by picking low cost cards to not fall behind on tempo, and only start stockpiling more expensive cards in the mid-late game! Also mind you that drawing cards is not very useful – you will just get some more 2/3 Pirates.

Yeah, I picked DH for my first game this time around, and whilst I did win, it went down to the wire and was primarily due to two well-timed Expendable Performers alongside some rather aggressive tapping from my Warlock opponent.

I actually think that Mage is one of the best classes for this challenge mainly because it has a lot of cards that generate other cards as well as great removal options. Some examples of cards are Firelands Portal, Faceless Summoner, Echo of Medivh, Duplicate, Unstable Portal, Cabalist’s Tome, Ethereal Conjurer, and more. Rogue is great too with cards such as Burgle, journey Below, Undercity Huckster, Shadowcaster and more. I managed to get 2 Shadowcasters, Antique Healbot, and Brann for an infinite healing combo.

I like this one a lot! It is fun like arena and gives us a chance to really examine the new “Discover” mechanic. I don’t like the fact that the choices cover up the entire board (playing on my Note 3) but it might not be a concern on the PC client. Also, thanks for the tip about card draw. I had to keep reminding myself NOT to take a Sprint!! I do think Rogue is a good class, but I like Druid the best because of the strong class minions and Savage Roar won me a few games easily.

There is a “Hide” button during the discover if you need to see the board.
