Think of the strategy in this game as similar to real chess. Control the center of the board and do not lose material and you should win. Also, I would try to avoid using the hero power in favor of developing more pieces whenever possible.

How many of each card is there? I just defeated my opponent by finishing my turn with him on one health. Then he had run out of cards, so he took one damage and lost. I was surprised he had run out so fast. So it seems there are fewer cards than normal

Indeed. You have 8 pawns, 2 towers, 2 Knights, 2bishops, and finally, 1 queen. Like real Chess

Im actually excited to play this tavern brawl. I played the Karazhan Chess game yesterday because I liked it a lot and was even hoping they made a tavern brawl based off it.

Not so great advantage. Dont’ play this brawl like a Hearthstone game. Think about chess, and you can win.

No its def black, if you play correctly your opponent cant get the double trade often enough to win. Coin is the killer

I have played and won as white for four straight games in a row I just got one drops to get past turn one and two and then just stall for fatigue since your opponent would die first due to drawing an additional card at the beginning
