Site Update: User Registrations, Profiles, and Deck Builder!

We’ve been working on this one for a long time. I had considered adding a deck builder for a while now, and it took a bit to figure out a way to add it to the site without messing with the SOUL of the site. I also needed some help coding the thing, so BIG thanks to my brother for tackling that for me!

RegisterHearthstone Deck Builder

I know some of you might be worried that this is somehow going to change the site for the worse, but the site will still be updated in the same way. No need to be worried about potentially “low” quality decks, because the default sorting method is “Pro Players Only”. If you want to see Community decks, or both together you can simply change the sorting method:

Deck Sorting Options

Once the community starts building a few decks there will be a page added to the navigation that will be dedicated to community decks.

Deck Builder

The deck builder has fast sorting, easy to read cards, featured images, guide building, and a mulligan area. You can submit decks for the ladder, adventure mode, tournaments, or for Tavern Brawl!

Registering to the site is not only for the deck builder. You can now favorite decks, follow players, and keep track of your comments!

profile-navigation

Following a player allows you to view their 5 most recent decks so you can quickly see if they’ve created anything new recently! You can follow pros and registered users!

There’s also been an improvement to the Features navigation. It is now easier at a glance to find some of the great information we have on the site!

Please keep in mind there will likely be bugs. If you find some please comment below and we’ll try to fix them as soon as possible. If you have feedback on the deck builder or any other aspect of the site then please let me know below. I hope you enjoy some of the new stuff we’ve added, and as always thanks for using the site!

If you would like to register go here, or if you’d just like to check out the new deck builder you can go here.

Great job, Evident. Been coming to the site for quite a while now, and I gotta admit, you’ve done nothing but continuously make improvements to the site. Your response time to questions and suggestions is top notch. Keep up the great work!

    Nice addition to the site.

If I may make a suggestion, on the pages that give individual card details, would it be hard (desirable?) to add a link to the few top rated decks using that card?

I thought it might give some players some starting ideas to start building decks with new cards or cards they have little experience with

Thanks for the site, it’s a great ressource.

I did have this at one point, but generating this type of list is very server intensive. It’s something I want to do, I just need to figure out how to implement it more efficiently. Glad you like the site!

Hi Evident, this is a very cool addition! Thank you!
My only question is how do I follow multiple Pro players? I was able to Follow Hotform, but I don’t seem to have the option to ‘Follow’ on any other player, like Firebat.

Good day! I was excited when I saw this post and did my deck here also. http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/jhus-naga-hunter/
I suggest putting the “Next / Back Buttons” on the side pane probably stationary so it would be easier for deck builders, it is a bit hard to scroll and look for these buttons. I also suggest adding a character counter on the deck information so we know just how many characters we could still add to the deck information, I think there was a 5000 character limit. Other than those I would have to say good job on the team who worked on this. Btw, is there some sort of beginner’s guide for navigating the deck builder, like on how to link cards. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for submitting your deck! Good call on the character count, I added a limit to prevent anyone from spamming craziness. Do you think it’s too low? There isn’t a beginners guide yet, but I will probably put one together soon. I did have the next/back buttons in the sidebar at one point, so I’ll consider moving it back. Thanks for the feedback!

I’ve been waiting for this for such a long time! I’m Alias, just felt like changing my username a bit :P. I just did a deck, if you could check it out and tell me what you think, it would be much appreciated! It’s Patron Warrior.

The deck looks good to me! Do you have any thoughts on the deck builder? I would love to get some feedback on it.

Are you open to play test or give feedback on decks? I like the decks I’ve posted so far, but am unsure about my “Bane of Zephyrs” priest. I haven’t been able to play test it, purely because I don’t have some key cards. Could you tell me what you think?

I can give a bit of feedback, but unfortunately I don’t have much time to play test.

Are you sure you typed your e-mail in correctly? I checked your user name and it looks like you capitalized one of the letters in your e-mail. You might also check your spam folder.
