Another shop update dropped today! It’s a small update with only a few new items – two skins, Diamond version of Dreamplanner Zephrys, and two card pack bundles. Keep in mind that Bob’s Bargain and Tavern Special bundles are usually (always?) dynamic, which means that different players might see different versions of them. I’m adding the version I got, but you might see something else in the shop. Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:
- Steampunk Lana’thel (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Death Knight skin + 5 Death Knight card packs.
- Halveria Steamraven (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Demon Hunter skin + 5 Demon Hunter card packs.
- Diamond Dreamplanner Zephrys Bundle (6000 Runestones or $60) – Diamond version of Dreamplanner Zephrys + 2 Random Signature Legendaries from Perils in Paradise.
- Bob’s Bargain (2000 Runestones or $20) – 20 Standard card packs + 2 Random Standard Legendary cards.
- Tavern Special (2000 Runestones or $20) – 20 Perils in Paradise card packs + 2 Random Perils in Paradise Legendary cards.
Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, unique Hero tray, or some extra visual effects. Some of those might also be included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has a few categories of their own for the more expensive skins (Diamond, Legendary, Mythic), but they don’t differentiate between the regular skins.
A shop update instead of a balance patch. Blizzard should follow a Hearthstone rule: do your actions in the right order. 60 euro for a diamond card is insane. You can buy a whole game for that price.
Agreed, the game has gone far beyond predatory tactics.
