Ever since patch 20.4, buying Heroes with Gold became easier. A total of 11 Heroes and 94 Card Backs became permanently available for purchase. However, Blizzard has notably excluded all of the pre-order Heroes from being purchasable with Gold. After already releasing Mecha-Jaraxxus two weeks ago and now with Madame Lazul, it seems that their intent is to make those only purchasable with real money. At least for now – who knows whether they will become available for Gold at one point.
Madame Lazul Hero was originally available through Rise of Shadows Mega Pre-Purchase Bundle. You can now get her for $11.99 / €11.99. The price is lower than last week’s Mecha-Jaraxxus, but unlike him, she doesn’t come with the related pre-order card back. I think it might be because last time the card-back caused some issues for buyers – people who got the cheaper pre-order (which included card back) but never got the more expensive one still couldn’t purchase the bundle, because the game said that they own it. Madame Lazul is NOT available for Gold. Of course – there’s a chance that she’ll join the 11 Hero skins that are purchasable for Gold in the future, but for now, that’s the only way to get her if you didn’t get the bigger Rise of Shadows pre-order.
You can get her through the in-game shop (note that you won’t see her if you already own her).
So – now she’s finally back in the shop but this time with her card back. Problem is, if you bought her already, her status is “owned” and you can’t get the card back.
Any talk on if they are going to make the back accessible to those that bought the hero when she was for sale without the back?
This is the last one I need (other than the special event ones) and its quite frustrating.
Why they are not sold separately hero portrait & cardback? I really want to get both because I’ve missed both pre-order bundle last time.
I was saving my gold for her all this time. I’m so dissapointed. Why blizzard 🙁
I do hope they become available for gold at some point. Though it indeed looks like it’s not in their plans, unfortunately. I’ve been looking forward to Death Wing and N’Zoth in particular, and they were both pre order guys.
