Another Tuesday, another shop update! This time Blizzard has added two of the older, pre-order skins:
- King Rastakhan Shaman Hero Skin + Ready to Rumble Card Back – Originally available through the Rastakhan’s Rumble pre-order.
- Elise Starseeker Druid Hero Skin + Elise’s Journal Card Back – Originally available through the Saviors of Uldum pre-order.
Those bundles cost $14.99 each, which is quite a lot for Hero portrait + card back (those usually cost $9.99) They’re most likely more expensive since they were originally supposed to be exclusive pre-order skins, but Blizzard changed their policy and decided that no skin will be exclusive forever.
They aren’t the first pre-order skins to become available. We already had Mecha-Jaraxxus and Madame Lazul purchasable in the past, so I would assume that we’ll get even more pre-order skins in the future.
You can purchase them in-game – there’s no end date yet, but I would assume that they will only be available for a week or two.
No Elise for gold. </3 I'm sad.
To buy a standard pack of the latest expansion, you have to scroll down through 4 specials, 4 limited/pre-puchase bundles and the tavern pass and change the default selected 7 card packs to 1.
The shop is similar to a real life shopping mall where the candy is right next to the checkout.
Lolz, $15 for a portrait and cardback, when you can get 13 portraits, and coins, and xp boosts and other things with just $20. Blizzard should reconsider what they think is the value of $15 now instead of 2 years ago.
Ridiculous, because I think 1 portrait should be at $2 to $3 price if you compare it for what Tavern Pass or Bundles cost nowaday.
For me, a lot of the portraits in the tavern pass look 1) similar & 2) of lower quality.
Still, 15 is a lot for a portait. It seems the price is that high to keep it “exclusive”.
But don’t you think you should get more than 2 items for $15? Exclusivity is gone when you shove bunch of portraits into the shop and expecting us to pay the same price. I’m not saying it’s wrong, I’m saying their marketing team is bad and incompetent.
They want more exclusivity? Start selling more diamond cards, try to be more creative unique borders, frame (even custom coin or badge is better).
They want more money? Make a tournament mode where you spent tickets for money.
They attract more flies with sugar, but they still use vinegar.
I am still waiting for Deathwing to become available ! Looking at the list of released hero’s, I guess he will be next.

Devs have confirmed that they will all be available for Gold at one point, but no one knows when.
