Shop Update: Perils in Paradise Pre-Purchase, New & Returning Skins, Signature Genn & Baku, Battlegrounds Cosmetics, Tavern Tickets

Another shop update dropped today! Given that it’s a major patch, and an expansion announcement one at that, it’s a really big update, with the set pre-purchase as well as tons of new and returning stuff. Genn & Baku Signature skins look incredibly cool, and they’re actually priced much better compared to the older Signature bundles, but it’s still $40 for just two cards. Interestingly enough, it’s also the first time they added a free level 100 rewards track skin for purchase. It’s not really a bad thing, if you want to speed your progress to collect all of the level 100 skins, you can get one now. Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:

  • Perils in Paradise Mage Pre-Purchase Bundle (8000 Runestones or $80) – 80 Perils in Paradise card packs + 10 Golden Perils in Paradise card packs + 1 random Golden Legendary from the expansion + 1 Random Signature Legendary from the expansion + Hakkar the Houndmaster Hunter Cosmetic Hero + Hakkar the Houndmaster Card Back.
  • Perils in Paradise Pre-Purchase Bundle (5000 Runestones or $50) – 60 Perils in Paradise card packs + 2 random Legendary cards from Perils in Paradise expansion + Hakkar the Houndmaster Card Back.
  • Metamorphosis Illidan Bundle (2500 Runestones or $25) – New Diamond Demon Hunter skin + 3 Demon Hunter card packs + 2 Golden Standard card packs.
  • Demon Whitemane Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Priest skin + 5 Priest card packs.
  • Ambassador Faelin (1500 Gold or $10) – Returning Tier 1 Druid skin + related card back. Originally available from the Voyage to the Sunken City paid rewards track (Tavern Pass).
  • Clockwork Annoy-o (1000 Gold or $7) – Returning Tier 2 Paladin skin. Originally available from the shop in August 2023.
  • Cataclysm Thrall (1000 Gold or $7) – “Returning” Tier 2 Shaman skin. The skin is available from level 100 of the free rewards track of any expansion.
  • Burning Legion Battlegrounds Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – Epic Bartender + 5 Epic Hero Skins + 1 Rare Hero Skin.
  • Genn and Baku Signature Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Signature versions of Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater Legendary cards.
  • Burning Legion Battlegrounds Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – 1 Epic Bartender + 5 Epic Hero Skins + 1 Rare Hero Skin.
  • Tavern Ticket Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – 11 Tavern Tickets (you can use them to start a new Arena run).
  • Tavern Ticket Mega Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – 25 Tavern Tickets (you can use them to start a new Arena run).

Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, unique Hero tray, or some extra visual effects. Some of those might also be included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has added their own “rarities” for Battlegrounds skins, but they haven’t done it so far for Constructed (other than Diamond & Legendary Heroes).

New items usually stay in the shop for around 1-2 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (3 or more weeks) but I wouldn’t universally count on that, so if you’re interested in one of them, get them soon.

I’ll be honest, I consider that Cataclysm Thrall being in the shop a new low for Blizzard.
