Shop Update: Twist Starter Bundles, Diamond & Signature Card Bundles

Another shop update dropped today! It’s tied to the release of the new Twist format called “Whizbang’s Heroes”. In the format, in order to unlock playable Heroes (including full pre-made decks), you need to own their Legendary card. 6 out of 19 are available for free, but others you need to craft or… apparently buy. I think it’s a good way to monetize the format. Other than those, we have some Diamond & Signature card bundles. They actually provide way more value compared to the usual Signature bundles – but they obviously can’t be utilized in Standard, so more value is expected. Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:

  • Twist Starter Bundle 1 (2000 Runestones or $20) – Three Legendaries unlocking Heroes in the current Twist format (Zul'jin, Nozdormu, King Krush)
  • Twist Starter Bundle 2 (2000 Runestones or $20) – Three Legendaries unlocking Heroes in the current Twist format (Guff Runetotem, Dr. Boom, Forest Warden Omu)
  • Twist Starter Bundle 3 (2000 Runestones or $20) – Three Legendaries unlocking Heroes in the current Twist format (Xyrella, Arfus, The Lich King)
  • Diamond Patches the Pirate Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Diamond Patches the Pirate + 8 Wild card packs + 7 Golden Wild card packs.
  • Signature C’thun Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Signature C'Thun + 10 Wild card packs + 7 Golden Wild card packs.
  • Signature N’Zoth, the Corruptor Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Signature N'Zoth, The Corruptor + 10 Wild card packs + 7 Golden Wild card packs.
  • Signature Brann Bronzebeard Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Signature Brann Bronzebeard + 10 Wild card packs + 7 Golden Wild card packs.
  • Signature Sir Finley Mrrgglton Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Signature Sir Finley Mrrgglton + 10 Wild card packs + 7 Golden Wild card packs.

Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, unique Hero tray, or some extra visual effects. Some of those might also be included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has added their own “rarities” for Battlegrounds skins, but they haven’t done it so far for Constructed (other than Diamond & Legendary Heroes).

New items usually stay in the shop for around 1-2 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (3 or more weeks) but I wouldn’t universally count on that, so if you’re interested in one of them, get them soon.

    A mode that is fun for the first week or so (some heroes feel much worse than others) but that dies off quickly with 0 customization;

    it could be friendly towards new players or people with a small collection; that is, if they didn’t have to pay 20 EUROs for 3 legendary cards most of which won’t be of much help neither in Standard NOR Wild format nowadays; the Signature Legendary + packs (for TWICE the cost) is a more catching up “friendly” deal.

    No seriously, what is up with those rip off costs?
