Shop Update: Edwin Alternate Hero + Card Back ($9.99), Buccaneer’s Booty (Bartender + 7x Battlegrounds Skin for $19.99)

It’s Tuesday, my dudes… wait, no, that’s not how it goes. Anyway, Tuesday usually means updates to the in-game shop and today is no different! We’ve got three new bundles… or two new bundles and one sort of a compilation bundle. But let’s get right to it, shall we?

First of all, we’ve got a new Rogue skin – the notorious Edwin VanCleef. You can purchase him, alongside a unique card back, for $9.99. This is the standard price for those skin bundles, so there’s not much to discuss. If you want to buy some cosmetics and like this skin in particular, you should probably get it. However, I have to say that he looks a bit… odd without his mask on (it’s also a weird time to take the mask off given the global pandemic, but I won’t judge).

Second one is a new Battlegrounds Bundle – Buccaneer’s Booty. You can get a new alternate Bartender and seven Pirate-themed skins for $19.99. The bartender isn’t entirely “new” too – it’s our favorite innkeeper Bob, apparently living pirate life instead of running a Tavern. Again, the price is comparable to other similar bundles, so whether its worth it or not depends on how highly you value cosmetics.

And finally, we’ve got an Edwin combo bundle. You can get Edwin Rogue portrait + Edwin Battlegrounds skin + Edwin, Defias Kingpin Mercenary – all of that for $14.99. It certainly targets the biggest Edwin fans that HAVE to own all the versions of him everywhere.

Covid denier Edwin is here and he unfortunately sounds and looks quite underwhelming. Some of his artwork looks good but his face and hair in particular look pretty off to me. Oh well, still Edwin, so I’m giving Blizz my money – but clearly, they could’ve done way better. He does have cool visual effects however, those are on point.

His Battlegrounds version looks better actually, which is kinda sad since Constructed should probably get the better version.
