Update: You can also claim 10 free packs from the shop (or 60 in total if you’re a new player). Read more here.
It’s Tuesday, so it’s time for another shop update! It’s been a while since the last one, since the shop wasn’t really updated often during the reveal season. We had a bigger update last week but I missed it just like I usually do when new expansion drops, since I’m too busy with other things. But we’re back with some new bundles. And interestingly, all of them are available either for Runestones OR straight up money purchase. It’s curious, because previously similar bundles were Runestones-only. Maybe they’ve noticed a drop in revenue and want to test giving a money purchase option again? It’s just my speculation, but I’m obviously happy that there are more options. Here are all of the new items that are available:
- Sylvanas, Ranger General Legendary Bundle (2500 Runestones or $25) – New Hunter skin (Legendary) + 5x Hunter card pack.
- Edwin the Renegade Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Rogue skin (Tier 2) + 5x Rogue card pack.
- Legends of the Lich King Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – 2x Random March of the Lich King Legendary + 20x March of the Lich King Card Pack.
- Legends of Nathria Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – 2x Random Murder at Castle Nathria Legendary + 20x Murder at Castle Nathria Card Pack.
- Battlegrounds Battle Bash – Winter Veil (1000 Runestones or $10) – Access to multiple cosmetic prizes – 1 Legendary Strike, 1 Epic Board, 5 Epic Hero Skins, 2 Bundles of 3 Rare Emotes and 1 Rare Bartender. Do keep in mind that those cosmetics don’t unlock the moment you buy it – you need to earn “bashes” by finishing in top 4 and then you can unlock the prizes.
Reminder: 100 Runestones = $1, so if something costs e.g. 2000 Runestones it means that it costs $20.
Tier 2 skins usually only include new portrait and new voices for base emotes (sometimes they also include something extra from Tier 1, like a new entrance animation). Tier 1 skins might also add things like new entrance & Hero Power animations, special visual effects, or completely new emotes. It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins!
Does anyone know, when the Sylvanas bundle is leaving the shop, since I want to purchase it, but I don’t have the money until the 30th?
A bundle will usually stay on the shop for 2 to 3 weeks (usually 3 weeks) from the time it goes on sale. So you should buy it by January 3rd.
Sadly we don’t know. Like Sun said, it’s usually 2-3 weeks, but it can be as short as 1 week and as long as over a month. So it’s just guessing at this point.
Before Runestones, every bundle was listed in the Battle.net shop too and it showed the date when it was leaving shop. I left some feedback for the devs saying that they should show it in-game but we’ll see, even if they agree they probably won’t implement it any time soon.
