Shop Update: Battlegrounds Season 8 Pass, New & Returning Skins, Diamond and Signature Bundles, Pack Bundles

Another shop update dropped today! And I think it might be the biggest update in the history. Or at least ever since I started covering them a few years ago. We’ve got the Battlegrounds Season Pass, A LOT of Diamond/Signature bundles, some new and returning skins, Standard pack bundles, and even a refresh of Tavern Ticket bundles. Overall it’s a huge update. I wonder why they decided to drop all those expensive bundles at once, this amount was usually spread over a few weeks. Anyway, here are all of the new items that are available this week:

  • Battlegrounds Season 8 Pass (1500 Runestones or $15) – New Battlegrounds Season Pass, giving you 4 Hero picks instead of 2 at the start of each game, as well as access to the premium version of the Battlegrounds rewards track with lots of cosmetics.
  • Aponi Brightmane Bundle (1500 Runestones or $15) – New Tier 1 Paladin skin + Brightmane Card Back + 5 Paladin card packs.
  • Pandaria Mal’ganis Bundle (1000 Runestones or $10) – New Tier 2 Warlock skin + 5 Warlock card packs.

  • Signature Hagatha the Fabled Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – Signature Hagatha the Fabled + 5 Perils in Paradise card packs.

  • Golden Signature Core Bundle (5000 Runestones or $50) – 2 random Signature Legendary cards from Core Set + 5 Golden Perils in Paradise card packs.
  • Standard Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – 20 Standard Card Packs + 2 Random Standard Legendary cards.
  • Golden Standard Bundle (5000 Runestones or $50) – 10 Golden Standard Packs + 2 Random Golden Standard Legendary cards.
  • Mini Golden Standard Bundle (2500 Runestones or $25) – 5 Golden Standard Packs + 1 Random Golden Standard Legendary card.
  • Tavern Ticket Bundle (2000 Runestones or $20) – 11 Tavern Tickets (you can use them to start a new Arena run).
  • Tavern Ticket Mega Bundle (4000 Runestones or $40) – 25 Tavern Tickets (you can use them to start a new Arena run).

Tier 1 skins are “premium” ones while Tier 2 are more basic. In general, Tier 1 skins tend to include more extra features like completely new emotes, Hero Power animations, unique Hero tray, or some extra visual effects. Some of those might also be included in Tier 2 skins, but usually only 1 of those special features is present (if any). It’s not an official classification – it’s just something we use to differentiate between more basic and premium skins! Blizzard has added their own “rarities” for Battlegrounds skins, but they haven’t done it so far for Constructed (other than Diamond & Legendary Heroes).

New items usually stay in the shop for around 1-2 weeks – sometimes it’s longer (3 or more weeks) but I wouldn’t universally count on that, so if you’re interested in one of them, get them soon.
