Rastakhan’s Rumble Decks – Pro & Legend Deck Lists, Deck Ideas, Decks for All Classes!

Our Rastakhan’s Rumble decks roundup features a full list of deck lists that have been played by legendary players, pros, and streamers. You will be able to find decks for all of the classes: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. We will be keeping this guide updated throughout the beginnings of the new expansion.

Rastakhan’s Rumble is the final expansion of the Year of the Raven. These expansions generally have a big impact on the meta due to them having the shortest time in the meta. We’ve got new and powerful cards coming to the game, and we are hoping to see some new archetypes after a bit of a slow to change meta.

If you want the top lists from the expansion, we’re rounding up them up in this post: Best Rastakhan’s Rumble Decks.

Rastakhan’s Rumble Deck Lists

We’ll be featuring a bunch of theorycraft decks early on. Once the expansion has been released, we will be feverishly posting new decks for the first few days. After that it usually tapers off as decks become more refined. If this isn’t your first expansion then this is obvious, but be very wary of decks early in the expansion cycle. A deck can be popular one day and then never heard from again. This has happened multiple times in the past, and usually at least once every expansion. If you are a budget player, I recommend holding off for at least a week or two before committing to crafting anything.

If you want to play on the cheap, then check out our updated Budget Hearthstone Decks Guide!

We’ll no longer be updating this post. For fresh deck lists, check out our Hearthstone Ladder Decks area!

Druid

The Druid class is pretty notorious for being hated on, but late in The Boomsday Project meta it wasn’t seeing a ton of play. The nerf to Giggling Inventor softened up Token Druid, and the other popular lists that feature King Togwaggle or Malygos have been less powerful. Rastakhan’s is bringing the class some attack synergy with Gonk, the Raptor and Spirit of the Raptor, but also looks to head back towards some Beast synergy.

Day 2

Day 1

Hunter

Hunter is in a pretty good spot coming into the new expansion with the ever popular Deathrattle Hunter. The class also has some fall back options with Secret and Spell Hunter, but they aren’t nearly as popular. Rastakhan’s looks to bring some more beast synergy, and cards like Master's Call and Springpaw could be some standouts from the expansion.

Day 4

Day 3

Day 2

Day 1

Mage

The Mage class was cruising early on in The Boomsday Project, but an unexpected nerf to Mana Wyrm took it down a peg. It lost its most reliable deck in Tempo Mage, and has gone to either control with Big Spell Mage or all-in aggro with Murloc Mage. Rastakhan’s will hopefully be a refresher for Mage, and the class is getting some potentially strong cards for the largely forgotten Elemental archetype. Mage is also getting some cards that synergize with its hero power and could create a new archetype on the back of the new Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk.

Day 4

Day 3

Day 2

Day 1

Paladin

The Paladin class has enjoyed being high up in the meta with Odd Paladin for a while. After the nerfs, the class even got to see the revival of the once powerful Even Paladin. Rastakhan’s brings the class a pretty powerful addition to the Odd list in Bloodclaw, but largely seeks to push it in a more controlling direction. While you normally can’t heal above 30, the new High Priest Thekal will solve that issue for you by giving you a bunch of armor and allowing you to heal yourself up with some of Paladin’s powerful healing cards.

Day 4

Day 3

Day 2

Day 1

Priest

Priest has been on the lower end of the meta, but got some life in it with Resurrect Priest towards the later part of The Boomsday Project expansion. Rastakhan’s brings it some interesting new cards with Bwonsamdi, the Dead giving it a chance for combos if combined with Spirit of the Dead. The class also got a Brawl like board aoe in Mass Hysteria.

Day 4

Day 3

Day 2

Day 1

Rogue

The Rogue class had its infamous Quest Rogue archetype brought back into the game early on in The Boomsday Project. With Giggling Inventor nerfed, it was thought that might be enough to kill it, but it still stuck around until the end. Odd Rogue is the most popular archetype for the class and is a strong choice for aggro players. Miracle Rogue is still floating around, and Kingsbane Rogue is another option for advanced players. In Rastakhan’s Rumble, it’s getting a strong push towards a Pirate themed deck. This has been experimented with in the past, but this time it got quite a bit of support with Raiding Party, Bloodsail Howler, Cannon Barrage, and Captain Hooktusk.

Day 4

Day 3

Day 2

Day 1

Shaman

Even Shaman has been a powerful mainstay, but Shudderwock Shaman continues to be an option for the class. With Rastakhan’s Rumble on the way, the expansion is adding some more cards with spell synergy. Krag'wa, the Frog will return spells you played the previous turn, and Zentimo can work as a board clear helper or maybe as a way to double buff your minions!

Day 2

Day 1

Warlock

Warlock has had a few solid decks in its arsenal during The Boomsday Project meta. Even Warlock, Zoolock, and Cubelock have continued to be powerful and worthwhile ladder options. Rastakhan’s looks to once again bolster a potential discard archetype with High Priestess Jeklik, ShriekReckless Diretroll, and Soulwarden. Is this finally enough to get the archetype off the ground? We shall see!

Day 3

Day 2

Day 1

Warrior

While Warrior has been able to stay somewhat afloat with Odd Warrior, it has largely been one of the weakest classes in the meta. Rastakhan’s Rumble brings some hope, and this hope is in the shape of DRAGONS. This old archetype that was quite popular at one point has been bolstered in the new expansion with the addition of Dragon Roar, Emberscale Drake, Smolderthorn Lancer, and the Legendary War Master Voone.

Hi, I love to play computer games, but I am tired of playing normal modes. Does anyone recommend where I can find cheat codes for different games?

I haven’t played with Zul’Jin myself yet but he is game-winning in every deck I’ve come up against. Those hunter decks are insane!

I tried a Pirate Rogue but it’s definitely the worst performing.

Had some success with Quest Hunter, Quest Paladin and Odd Mage so far. Also with Even Shaman where all I did was substitute a Mossy Horror for a Rain of Toads.

I guess it’s a good time for climbing as everyone is playing around with sub-optimal, untuned decks 😀

I’m excited to try deathrattle rouge with the new undatakah card. Looks wicked powerful

I managed to pull that card with my prepurchase – definitely hyped about trying it out!

Theres not as many crazy deathrattles as there were when NZoth was around, so while i would like to try it out, Im likely not gonna craft him until he sees decent play in the meta

I also got The Undatakah from my prepurchased and put him in my Lynessa-deck with immortal prelate and tons of different buffs as well as mechanical whelp and mechano egg.
The result was an endless stream of buffed undatakahs that always get shuffled into the deck and spawn a 7/7 and 8/8…or several the later the game goes. literally endless value.

Ok, gotta admit, not the fastest deck and struggles against a rush down, but the feeling when ur first undatakah hits them kinda makes up for it. still above 60% winrate!

I’ve been playing Deathrattle Rogue all last season and its one of my better performing decks. I made my own version with Star Aligner which can be great fun when it triggers. Nobody is expecting it!

I substituted in an Undertakah as the only card change but it’s pretty slow unless you can combine with the weapon and you’ve usually used the weapon by then so I’m not entirely convinced by it yet.

I’m most excited about pirate rogue. I was never a big fan of odd rogue, so an aggressive rogue deck will be something new for me.

Great to see all those decks, I’m excited about new Shudderwork’s Shaman, Spells Hunter, and more Control Decks Anti-Aggro Decks as Tier 1 or 2.

How can you be excited about a zero brain deck like shudderwock… With everything else i agree with you, but shudderwock is so boring man 🙁

Different strokes for different folks, we don’t appreciate shaming people for the decks they enjoy playing. Every single deck in the game has its own appeal and even if you don’t like it, it doesn’t mean that someone else can’t.

How can you think shudderwock is a “zero brain deck”. It’s one of the most intricate and skill-testing decks, and is also really fun to play. Take that into consideration next time you’re playing your zoolock or whatever boring deck you’re playing and losing to a shudderwock shaman. Maybe you’re the one playing the “zero brain deck”. And they’re just better than you

        • PigBeach
          December 1, 2018 at 10:44 AM

I’m guessing he’s calling it zero brained because there are a lot of cases where there is nothing you can do against it to pull off a win. I agree, it’s really fun and skill-testing, sure, but it is pretty frustrating for the opposing player when if the shudderwock opponent just plays the deck properly, there is quite literally nothing you can do except stall until they play shudderwock and you lose.

It’s a fun deck for some, but a lot of people (including myself) really dislike the dynamic it creates when you play against it.

Also calling someone else’s deck a “zero brain” deck is pretty condescending and doesn’t really help your case…

I mean, personally, most the shudderwock shamans that I face have been pretty brain dead so far. I managed to sneak in wins with token druid sometimes, because they did not trade into my treant. Many others have been really lucky, topdecking all the spells just when they need to.
But yea, I agree that (especially in legend) it requires skill

gonna have to say it does not take a lot of work to play shudderwock, you play your battlecries and then you play shudderwock, couldn’t be simpler. It is very similar to a lot of otk decks where your aim is to draw through your deck before they die. The problem is that healing rain and volcano make it very annoying to play against. I personally do not find that particular shaman deck to be all that interesting.

        December 1, 2018 at 8:02 PM

Actually it’s not that easy to play but I’m sure you’ve never actually tried and instead just bash decks you lose against. Git gut?

That’s the reason I LOVE to play with Shudderwock decks. Almost every time I win I receive a friend request from the player I have just defeated.

I like to spread the seed of hate.
