A hotfix for Patch 21.8 is getting rolled out right now. It’s a small one, but it’s pretty interesting.
Most importantly, it now addresses the stalemate situations in Mercenaries PvP. There are situations in which players are left with only one Merc on each side and they literally can’t kill each other (like the famous Anduin vs Anduin situation). If I recall correctly, the current turn cap is 50 – but that’s way too high and those situations get very annoying. The turn cap was reduced to 25 turns now – after that, the game is over and a match results in a draw. However, it’s not the final solution – apparently, they’re working for a larger fix in a future update (possibly something about e.g. doubling the damage done after X turns, or awarding win to a player with higher health total on their Mercs).
Other than that, we’ve got a few other fixes. Aranna Starseeker will no longer lose Armor after transforming to her Demon Hunter form, high-end Mercs PvP matchmaking got loosened, and Rush minions can no longer attack twice after shifting their position on board.

11/19 Update:
We are in the process of rolling out a server-side hotfix that includes the following updates:
- Fixes a bug that caused Aranna to lose her Battlegrounds Armor when she transforms.
- Fixes a bug that caused Rush minions to be able to attack again if their position shifts.
- Fixes a bug that prevented Mind Thief from triggering Combo effects.
- Reduces the Mercenaries turn limit to 25 Turns. This is a temporary fix to address “stalemate” situations in the mode while a larger fix is being worked on for a future update.
- Loosens matchmaking rules for extremely high-end players.
