Patch 16.4.1 is Coming This Thursday (March 5) – Tirion Removed, Wagtoggle Added Back, Some Bug Fixes (E.g. Desync issues)

A new patch was just announced. Well, technically it was teased last night by Iksar (more about it here), but we’ve already got patch notes ahead of time!

Of course, the biggest news is that Tirion is getting removed from the pool. Tier lists consistently put it at #1, because it’s just so powerful. Players won’t likely miss it, and I’m glad that he’s being taken out and then hopefully comes back after a nerf. Queen Wagtoggle will be back in his place. I wonder if she will get any changes. Maybe simply making her Hero Power affect Dragons too? (remember that she used to give +2 Attack to a random minion from every tribe) Or maybe it will be something else? We’ll see soon!

Besides those, we’re getting a few bug fixes. One of the bigger fixes are desync issues, which happened sometimes – Replicating Menace sometimes caused players to experience different matches with different outcomes. You can read all about them in the patch notes below.

Hey everyone!

We have a small 16.4.1 patch planned for this Thursday (3/5) that includes the following Battlegrounds updates:

  • Removing Tirion Fordring from the Hero pool.
  • Adding Queen Wagtoggle back into the Hero pool.
  • Fixing an issue that causes Refresh to show you one less minion than it should.
  • Fixing an issue that causes Triple rewards to only offer 2 options.
  • Fixing an issue where Replicating Menace causes combat to desync between two players.
  • Fixing an issue where Demons summoned by Khadgar via Imp Mama do not have Taunt.
  • Fixing an issue where Hero Powers for Malygos and Galakrond cause unintended effects, such as triggering Holy Mackerel.

Additionally, the ongoing Android issues which resulted from the 16.4 update should now be resolved.
