It seems that Blizzard matchmaking servers are experiencing some issues right now. Many players aren’t able to start games – queue works, but they’re getting an error.
Blizzard is aware of the issue and working on a fix right now.
However, there’s a potential workaround that worked for some players – if you run any Golden Core Set cards, try removing them from your deck (or rather replacing with non-Golden versions) and queue again. It’s not universal solution, but it has worked for many people!
We’ll keep you updated on the issue!
???? We are aware of a bug that’s preventing players from queueing for ranked Standard or Wild.
We’re working to get this fixed ASAP and will provide an update in the known issues thread.https://t.co/2SBIe6ekNk

????Workaround: Remove Golden Core Set cards from your deck!

Update:
It looks like Golden Core Set cards in YOUR OPPONENT’S deck prevent you from queueing. So remove yours and keep trying until you face an opponent who also removed them!
Update #2:
It looks like hotfix has been pushed, but it might take some time to go live across all regions:
We're in the process of deploying a server-side hotfix to address the matchmaking error issue. ???? Once you've received the hotfix, you will be able to successfully queue for any mode. ???? Thanks for your patience!

Something that’s not related with the post, but couldn’t find where else to ask. Weren’t supposed some of the Core Set cards be usable in the Classic format (like Tirion)? If not it’s kinda stupid for players like me who focus only Standard and Classic to craft Wild cards which are included in the Core Set (Tirion,Al’Akir etc.) in order to play them in the Classic format.
Sadly, no, Core Set were never meant to be usable in Classic format.
It was clearly a business decision, if you want to play the format, you can’t use your free cards, but you have to get Classic packs or craft Classic cards instead.
What can I say, they wanted to monetize the new format somehow.
Thanks for the quick update. I can play now. yey.
Workaround doesn’t work.
Not everytime, unless you and your opponent both don’t have golden cards.
Yeah it worked for me after removing goldens. You may have to queue a couple of times but it is working. Worked in Standard, Casual and Duels for me.
