Update: Day 2 of the event is now live!
Blizzard has announced more details about the upcoming Masters Tour: Summer Championship event. It’s the second of only three Masters Tour events this year, culminating in a World Championship by the end of the year. You can read more details about this year’s (rather sad) Hearthstone esports program here and here. 16 players from three major regions will compete for their share of the $50k prize pool, as well as a chance to qualify for the 2023 Hearthstone World Championship.
The event is happening a couple of weeks into the TITANS expansion. We did have a small balance update, but the meta has already adjusted to it. The next balance update is bigger, but it will drop after the event. So it’s going to be interesting to see what decks players bring and which of the meta choices perform best in a tournament format with bans.
Twitch drops will also be active. Watch the tournament on the official Twitch channel to earn up to two TITANS card packs. You get 1 pack per 2 hours of watch time, so you need to watch the stream (or just put it in the background) for 4 hours in total. Just be sure to connect your Twitch and Battle.net accounts if you haven’t done it already.

The second Masters Tour of the year is this weekend and TITANS are changing the meta! Sixteen of the top players from the April, May, and June Ladder rankings will duel for their share of the $50,000 (USD) prize pool and an invite to the 2023 World Championship. Read on for everything you need to know to enjoy the action, only on Twitch and YouTube.

“Drops: Earn up to two TITANS packs while watching on Twitch all weekend”
All weekend, but only in two predetermined timeframes.
Yep, I just realized that yesterday after getting the first pack and not earning progress toward the second one. I think it’s the first time they did it that way?
I think they did it in the past, though the wording is a bit confusing or inconsistent.
All weekend implies it’s actually active all weekend and not (just) during their broadcast time.
I don’t mind it, but it could be more clearly stated.
Oh yeah, sometimes they just activate drops across the entire HS category and you can watch anything at any time. Sometimes they limit it just to their stream and just during the actual tournament.
However, I don’t remember not being able to earn both drops on Day 1 in the past (but maybe I forgot, lol). This time I could only get one pack on Day 1 and one pack on Day 2 of the event. Which kind of sucks.
