Update: Day 2 of the event is now live! Remember that you can get two card packs for watching. Mor details below.
Blizzard just announced more details about the upcoming Masters Tour: Spring Championship event. It’s the first of – sadly – only three Masters Tour events this year, culminating in a World Championship by the end of the year. You can read more details about this year’s (rather sad) Hearthstone esports program here and here. 16 players from three major regions will compete for their share of the $50k prize pool, as well as a chance to qualify for the 2023 Hearthstone World Championship.
The event happens shortly after the release of the Festival of Legends expansion, with the meta now fully settled in yet, but with some already easy Tier 1 contenders. Blizzard has pushed a small balance patch last week, but it didn’t matter that much, so we shouldn’t expect a lot of surprises. We’ll still cover all of the competitor’s decks this weekend!
Twitch drops will also be active. Watch the tournament on the official Twitch channel to earn up to two Festival of Legends card packs. You get 1 pack per 2 hours of watch time, so you need to watch the stream (or just put it in the background) for 4 hours in total. Just be sure to connect your Twitch and Battle.net accounts if you haven’t done it already.

The first Masters Tour of the year is this weekend, with players competing on the newest expansion, Festival of Legends! Sixteen of the top players from the January, February, and March Ladders will face off for their share of the $50,000 (USD) prize pool and an invite to the 2023 World Championship. Read on for everything you need to know to enjoy the action, only on Twitch and YouTube.
