Masters Tour: Fall Championship starts today (at 9 AM PT / 6 PM CET) and we have some more details! It’s the third (and final) Masters Tour events this year, with only the World Championship left (probably sometime in December). You can read more details about this year’s (rather sad) Hearthstone esports program here and here. 16 players from three major regions will compete for their share of the $50k prize pool, as well as a chance to qualify for the 2023 Hearthstone World Championship.
While we didn’t have any major releases recently, a new patch nerfing some of the most powerful meta cards was released on Thursday, while players had time to submit their decks until Friday. Sadly it means that they didn’t have a lot of time to prepare, and many of them will kind of play blindly, hoping that the decks they picked indeed hold up. Which might make it interesting for the viewers, but it’s not a great situation for the players.
Twitch drops will also be active. Watch the tournament on the official Twitch channel to earn up to two TITANS card packs. We still don’t know how long you will need to watch to earn the packs, but last time it was 2 hours per pack (so 4 hours in total). Just be sure to connect your Twitch and Battle.net accounts if you haven’t done it already.
