Masters Tour Asia-Pacific Online is the fourth Masters Tour event of 2020, and it will happen this weekend! Just like the last Masters Tour, this one will also be online-only because of the current global situation. It’s also the first event, which was fully planned to be online from the beginning (hence the name), so no adjustments had to be made.
Over 320 amazing players from around the world, who qualified through tournaments or high ladder finishes, will fight for their share of $500,000 prize pool ($250,000 base, which was doubled thanks to the sales of the Dragon Masters Bundle), and a chance to qualify for the next Grandmasters season. - Format: 4 deck, best-of-5 Conquest with a ban

Format
Hearthstone Masters Tour Online: Asia-Pacific will be played in the 4 deck, best-of-5 Conquest with a ban format.
Here’s how each of the days will look like:
- Day 1: Five rounds of Swiss. Players will be dropped after receiving their third match loss.
- Day 2: Players with three or more match wins will play through four more rounds of Swiss.
- Day 3: Top 8 players will compete in the playoff, and a new Masters Tour Champion will be crowned!
Additionally, each player who finishes with AT LEAST 7-2 score (so goes through both days without dropping out) will be automatically qualified to the two upcoming Masters Tour events – and Masters Tour Montreal and Masters Tour Madrid.
Where to Watch
Here’s a full list of streams in different languages. Keep in mind that a while ago, Blizzard has moved all of their esports to YouTube. Which means that there will be no Twitch broadcast.
Broadcast will start at 9 AM local time (KST) on July 17, which is 2 AM in Europe (CEST). However, due to time zone differences, in Americas it will begin on July 16 – 5 PM PDT / 8 PM EDT. Then it will begin at the same time for the next two days.
No Drops
We hoped that Blizzard will activate drops functionality. It was very popular on Twitch and many players tuned in “lured” by the opportunity to get some free packs.
While YouTube also offers drop functionality, it doesn’t seem like Blizzard did anything to activate it just yet. We’ll let you know if anything changes!
