Last Chance to Disenchant Cards Nerfed In Patch 21.3 For Full Dust Cost (October 5)

Just a quick reminder – patch 21.3 was released on September 21, nearly 2 weeks ago. It was a huge balance update, changing a total of 13 cards. Out of those 13, six cards are eligible for full Dust refunds, since they were nerfed or reworked.

After a card gets nerfed, you can disenchant it for its full crafting cost. The grace period ends 2 weeks after the patch – in this case on October 5 (most likely around 10 AM PT / 19:00 CET, since it’s the regular patch time). Keep in mind that it doesn’t apply to buffed cards.

Here’s a full list of cards you can Dust with the amount of Dust you’ll get for them:

This time we’ve got three nerfed Legendaries – that’s really big, if you own all three then you can get a lot of extra Dust. Also owning some Golden versions of Common/Rare cards can be a big boost to your Dust total.

As for whether those cards still see play two weeks later – the truth is that their popularity has dropped significantly. Illucia is now really bad and I don’t think she will ever be played again. Questline Shaman has nearly disappeared from the meta (and so did Perpetual Flame) – it’s not a bad deck per se and it can definitely make a comeback, but nearly no one plays it right now (it has 1-2% play rate depending on the rank and doesn’t show any good results). Brute Demon Hunter was an interesting variant of Questline Demon Hunter, but it’s no longer viable now. You can still play Questline, but with a different win condition (Il'gynoth).

Only Questline Warlock is still pretty good, but no longer as dominating as it once was – from T1 it dropped to somewhere in the middle of T2 (with 3-5% popularity depending on the rank). If you liked the deck before then you can still play it now – but if you don’t care for it, definitely dust it. And even if you don’t dust the Questline itself, Runed Mithril Rod is no longer played in it.
