Last Chance to Disenchant Cards Nerfed In Patch 20.2.2 For Full Dust Cost (May 26)

Just a quick reminder – patch 20.2.2 was released on May 12, nearly 2 weeks ago. The update nerfed five different cards and buffed ten, but for now let’s focus on the nerfs.

After a card gets nerfed, you can disenchant it for its full crafting cost. The grace period ends 2 weeks after the patch – in this case on May 26 (most likely around 10 AM PT / 19:00 CET, since it’s the regular patch time).

Some of those cards are still very much playable after the nerfs, but if you aren’t using them right now, you should consider getting rid of them. After all, you can craft them back again for the same amount of Dust you got in the future – or you can get some other cards that are more useful right now instead. The deal is even sweeter if you’re holding some Golden versions. For example, if you Dust a Golden Common, you have enough Dust to craft an Epic, which is amazing trade for people who don’t care about Golden cards.

Here’s a full list of cards you can Dust with the amount of Dust you’ll get for them:

The only one I would even consider DE would be Crabrider as not really playing that one. Everything else I still see as decent, especially Mankrik. Even if his wife’s health was reduced the instant 3 Face Damage to the enemy when drawn still outweighs the ‘nerf’. Refreshing Spring Water at current full cost allows you to corrupt Ring Toss to gain the extra secret so more of an unintended buff than a nerf. First Day of School was a hit, but still good way to get some minions into your hand and on to the field quickly. Hysteria I don’t think I have, but I have it played on me a lot, especially as a Hunter when I have a big minion and a bunch of 1 health on the field.

True about Mankrik, but keep in mind that if you unpacked Golden version then you can Dust it for 3.2k and just play the normal version everyone got for free. It’s a great deal if you don’t care about Golden cards, since it lets you craft 2 other Legendaries you pick.

And yeah, all of those cards still see play – including Crabrider. But my point is that if you don’t actively play them right now, DE is not a bad idea. You might not end up playing a deck running them at all, and if you do, you can always craft them back.

Plus, I never click “disenchant all” button for the nerfs sake. I had like 10+ copies of all those commons and got a nice chunk of Dust for free by getting rid of the extras.
