Balance update 17.2.1 was released almost 2 weeks ago, with 8 card nerfs and 4 card buffs. While we’ve already discussed its impact on the meta elsewhere, it’s important to mention another aspect of balance changes – full dust refunds. If a card was nerfed, you can disenchant it for its full crafting cost for two weeks after patch.
While you don’t really get anything extra for buffed cards you own (other than the satisfaction of having a stronger card now), here are the 8 nerfed cards that you can now disenchant for their full crafting cost:
- Crimson Sigil Runner – 40 for Normal, 400 for Golden
- Scavenger's Ingenuity – 40 for Normal, 400 for Golden
- Priestess of Fury – 100 for Normal, 800 for Golden
- Blackjack Stunner – 100 for Normal, 800 for Golden
- Imprisoned Scrap Imp – 100 for Normal, 800 for Golden
- Bloodboil Brute – 100 for Normal, 800 for Golden
- Bloodsworn Mercenary – 400 for Normal, 1600 for Golden
- Shadowjeweler Hanar – 1600 for Normal, 3200 for Golden
As you can see, it was a really big balance update with many cards nerfed. If you had a Normal playset of all of them (1 copy of Legendaries and 2 copies of non-Legendaries), you can get 3,360 Dust for disenchanting all of them. Even more if you have some Golden copies!
This full Dust refund only lasts for 2 weeks after the patch, so until June 1 (most likely until ~10 AM PT). If you still haven’t dusted one of them but you want to, remember to do it quickly!
