Today is the day, and we’ll be covering all of the news and information that comes out about Hearthstone at BlizzCon 2018. Normally, we get the announcement of the expansion and a look at the trailer for it at the BlizzCon Opening Ceremonies. Later on in the day, we’ll get a chance to see a lot of the upcoming new cards at the “Hearthstone: What’s Next?” panel. This is where the bulk of the information will come from in terms of how the expansion will actually look play wise.
Even if you aren’t headed to BlizzCon and aren’t going to be watching it via the Virtual Ticket, you can still get a little something for yourself! If you log into Hearthstone on the first day of the event (November 2nd) you will get two free golden cards! One Golden Star Aligner and one Golden Secret Plan! You’ll also want to make sure you log into the game on the second day as well (November 3rd), because you’ll get a free The Boomsday Project pack.
Some information on the new Hearthstone expansion has been leaked! Check out what we know right here.
New Expansion Coverage
We do a ton of in-depth coverage and track every revealed card over the month or so leading up to the release of the expansion. So, be sure to follow us on these various social media channels to get the best Hearthstone coverage around!
BlizzCon Virtual Ticket
You don’t have to purchase this to enjoy a lot of the event, but if you want access to a lot of cool in-game cosmetics and even access to the World of Warcraft Classic At-Home Demo, you can grab a Virtual Ticket! For Hearthstone, you’ll get an exclusive card back and ten packs (2 from each available expansion except for Boomsday).
When and How-to Watch
BlizzCon starts on November 2nd at 11am PST and will kick off with the Opening Ceremony. This is where all of the developers from Blizzard’s biggest titles come on the stage and give you a brief explanation of what’s to come with their respective games. You can watch this on Twitch, YouTube, or at the official BlizzCon website.
Later in the day at 2:30pm PDT there will be the What’s Next: Hearthstone panel where they go through more information on the new expansion and what else is to come for the game. You’ll for sure be able to catch this on the BlizzCon website (you might need a Virtual Ticket), but I’m not positive if or where it will be shown on Twitch. I will update this once I get a clear idea of where they will be showing it. We will also be covering this in a different post that I will link here once it’s up.
Those are the two places where we’re going to get information on the new expansion, but if you are interested in even more details about Hearthstone and watching some of your favorite streamers they will be doing more live events throughout the day. You can find all of that information right here.
