What time is Kobolds and Catacombs set to release/launch?
Update: Kobolds and Catacombs is live in the Americas AND EU Region!
The release date will be on December 7th in NA and December 8th in the EU.
Here are the official times Blizzard gave out, it should be noted that these are ESTIMATED times. Blizzard said 12pm PST for Knights of the Frozen Throne and it got released at 10am PST!
Americas Region: December 7 12:00 PM PST
Asia Region: December 8 9:00 AM KST
Europe Region: December 8 05:00 AM CET
What am I Getting for Free?!

Kobolds and Catacombs Expansion Launch Tips
I refer to most of these tips for every expansion and they continue to be useful to this day!
Tips: Make Sure You Have Room in Your Quest Log!!!
When Kobolds and Catacombs launches you will immediately get a quest that will reward you with a pack for beginning a Dungeon Run. This quest will overwrite one of your current quests, so make sure you complete any important quest you might have so you don’t lose out on gold!
Tip: Don’t Purchase the Wrong Packs
In the past it’s been easy to absentmindedly purchase the wrong packs, so make sure you are paying attention when you hit the purchase button!
Tip: Save Money by Watching Twitch Streamers Open Packs
Streamers buy a TON of packs, and if you’re on a budget and want to get your fix then I’d advise watching them open packs. It’s not exactly the same, but it can help ease your lust for packs.
Tip: Save Money by Playing a Bunch of Free Dungeon Runs!
Dungeon Runs are the new single-player feature that comes along with Kobolds and Catacombs. They are completely free, and every run is slightly different. Start working on finishing the Dungeon Run with each class so you can earn the three free packs as well as get that sweet new card back!
Tip: Don’t Craft or Disenchant Legendaries Right Away
It’s tough to not craft a bunch of cool looking Legendaries the day they come out, but if you’re on a budget you should just hang back and wait for the meta to settle a bit. The famous example of tons of people crafting Troggzor the Earthinator comes to mind, where it seemed like a great card but ended up never really seeing any play. This also goes for disenchanting cards! Finja, the Flying Star was not a popular Legendary when Mean Streets of Gadgetzan released, but ended up seeing quite a bit of play.
Pre-Purchase the Kobolds and Catacombs Expansion
This is your absolute last chance to pre-order the expansion! The pre-purchase is usually the best way to get packs if you plan on spending money on the game. Getting a free card back isn’t too bad either.

New Stuff Coming to Kobolds and Catacombs
First thing to know is that there are no cards being rotated into Wild. This seems to be a common mistake people make, but the rotation of cards into Wild happens during the release of the FIRST expansion in the new year. The first expansion of 2018 will usher in a new Standard year and rotate out some cards into Wild.

Now that we have that cleared up, there’s a few new things coming to Kobolds and Catacombs:
Single-Player Dungeon Runs
Dungeon Runs are completely free, single-player content that you can play over and over again for fun! Every run is slightly different because you’ll face new bosses, get new treasures, and be able to choose different cards for your deck. If you beat a Dungeon Run with every class you get a Card Back! There are also three sequential one-time quests you will be able to complete that reward one pack of Kobolds and Catacombs each.

Legendary Weapons
Each class has received a Legendary Weapon, and you will get one for FREE when you login after Kobolds and Catacombs has released! Check out all of the potential weapons you might receive:

New Keyword: Recruit
The new Keyword being added in the Kobolds and Catacombs expansion is Recruit. Recruit is pretty much exactly what Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound does. It takes a minion out of your deck and puts it into play. Most of these Recruit cards have different stipulations which allow you to build your deck in a way to take advantage of them. Here’s a list of all of the Recruit cards:

New Card Type: Spellstones
I actually managed to forget about this, so I’m adding it late. Spellstones are cards that upgrade while in your hand when you meet certain criteria (gain a certain amount of armor, play a certain type of minion, etc.). It starts out relatively tame, but if you can upgrade it the card will become quite powerful. Each spellstone has up to two upgrades, and each class is getting one!

New Card Type: Unidentified Item
This is more of a flavorful style of card in the spirit of mystery loot or treasure! Unidentified cards each have four potential bonuses they will receive once they are drawn to the hand.

I got 2 legendaries in 1 pack!

With my main account, i get the mage legendary weapon, want the rogue weapon, but it is not bad, at last is not the shaman weapon again.
I opened about 70 packs and the only rare cards I didn’t get were a few of the spell stones. Did any body else experience this? Seems like they have a lower rate.

Soooooo tempted to dust my legendary’s and epics, 43 packs opened with gold saved and packs given, 2 legendary’s in the packs plus the free weapon, 5 epics, all pretty much the worst legendary’a and epics in the set 😛
Same, worst release card pack opening ever. My ONLY legendary besides the free weapon was Darkness.

The expansion is ON! , i get the shaman weapon in my new account, don`t want it, no problem because is not my my account.
i get 4/8 in my first run, lost to a “Druid boss” , that heroe power is get 3 shield. Its fast and funny 😀
Where I am the expansion has released but I cant redeem my free stuff or purchase kobolds cards with coins. Why not?
If you are in Europe or the Asias, it says it comes out December 8th, compared to December 7th in the North America region. I don’t know if that makes a difference.
The set isn’t live yet in NA either as of 10 minutes ago, and isn’t scheduled to be for almost 3 hours. Like it says at the beginning, it might go live early, but it might not. I don’t know if that helps, but hopefully it does.

I don’t want to get free the shaman,warlock,warrior and druid legendary weapons 😛
In all honesty, most of the legendaries in this expansion are a little lackluster, especially the weapons. That makes me a little sad, but I am also glad, as I can craft the legendaries that are good and have more dust left over for epic and legendary cards for my meme decks.
Big Hunter is going to be the first deck I play. And now I kind of want the Hunter weapon as my free weapon, so I can see if Lonely Hunter is worth playing.
And I want to play a Paladin handbuff deck.
And Kingsbane Rogue so I have a reason to run weird weapon buff cards.
And Big Warrior seems fun too.

Yeah think the same of the legendarys in this expansions (except for the Rogue weapon i want that lol), not so good.
Like commons and epics are a lot more useful.

The mage 1 is UI level broken.
Hey, some of those are actually awful, but you can always embrace the memes if you get stuck with shamans weapon or warrior!
Warlock has some synergies with card like doomguard or voidlord, but if you get druid,I will feel genuinely bad for you….
