Earlier today, pro player and Grandmaster Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk tweeted about his admission to the hospital because of kidney infection. He also got tested for COVID-19, which turned out to be negative.
Could barely eat/drink the last days & went to hospital for checkup.
Both my kidneys got a heavy infection aswell some parts of my blood, likely due to an earlier teeth infection I got.
I will stay in hospital the next 48-72h & depending on progress further treatment. pic.twitter.com/dQHw6RBnDL

It’s still hard to say whether he will feel well enough to compete in playoffs, but giving him an extra day to recover is a nice move. Get better, Thijs!
