If you login on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 you will receive a free Fight Promoter card!
Update
Ben Brode gave more explanation on why this is happening:
Lots of folks in this thread wondering: “Why? Are they testing something?”
Honestly we just think it’s fun to do surprising things. We like the feel of our Winter’s Veil event, our “Hearthstone New Years” event, and the (now-redundant) Friendly Feud, and we’ve been ramping up our events team to do even more. We have some stuff planned that I think will be pretty hot. Keeping Hearthstone spicy is important… and giving out a free card seemed like something easy we could do as a fun one-off. We have some bigger (and smaller) events planned… we’re just getting warmed up!
Enjoy the free card! (or the dust!)[Source]
Yeah, we can get you a card. Really! Log in to Hearthstone on Saturday, May 20, to get a Fight Promoter card for free!
No catch, just a free card–so don’t miss out.
We’ll see you in the tavern!

Useful or not, thank you Blizzard for the free dust!
I dont see a point in giving away this epic for free. Its a useless, expensive card that was mostly used in handbuff paladin. It’s slow and not exactly a playable card for the un’goro meta.
How come they are giving away this epic and not a more useful one like primordial drake for example.
Good question. I’d think it would be a good one to give away when promoting brawls, or maybe a specific brawl. Dunno, but I expect it is thematic. I’m assuming they’ll explain when it drops.
This card would be great in a Druid Quest deck.
I remember hearing about this a while ago.
Seems kind of arbitrary. Like…why this card in particular? Why now? Why tease it weeks ago and the give it away at this time without any additional context?
Not that I’m complaining…just wondering if there is more to this, like clues about the next expansion or something?
Hard to tell, really. My best guess: this won’t be a one-time occasion, maybe they’ll gift one free card periodically. One free pack would be way too generous for Blizzard, but it’s a start.
I don’t understand this comment. How is one free booster better than a guaranteed Epic? And how is it that Blizzard isn’t generous enough in that they just gave away three free boosters to people just for logging in plus all of the other stuff leading up to the latest set?
Hmmm – I’m not sure I’d call Blizzard generous when you look at their FTP model compared to other digital CCGs out there (except M:TG of course) – or the prices of their packs. It’s either a slow grind to get the best cards from an expansion – by which time the next expansion will be out – or it’ll cost you an absolute packet.
Still, I’m not going to complain about 100 free dust.
Though I think the pity-counter noticed I’m behind on the legendary pack curve last night and gave me a golden Edwin in one pack (from the brawl) and Awaken the Makers in another.
Keep in mind that every expansion has an independent pity counter for its packs.
Fair enough; I haven’t played other digital CCGs so I can’t compare. I’ve played LOADS of CCGs with physical cards, however, and in comparison this model is GREAT! Just a different perspective.
