Galakrond’s Awakening Week 3 Deck Lists
We’ll be featuring a bunch of Galakrond’s Awakening decks from pros & streamers. Keep in mind that the early meta can be volatile, not as much as when the full expansion releases, but still. A certain deck working quite well right after the release of new cards (when players haven’t figured out what’s best yet) doesn’t necessarily mean that it will stay as a part of the meta. Which means that doing any crafting until the whole adventure launches (and the meta settles after) is very risky.
Druid
Hunter
Mage
Paladin
Priest
Rogue
Shaman
No new decks yet!
This is quite possibly the least fun meta ever. 50% of my opponents are druid (a mix of embiggen and token, with quest showing up more often the last few days), 25% are hunter. Before this adventure released, I had ~60% winrate with highlander rogue, which was actually a fun deck to play. Now, I can’t find anything that stays above 50%. So, I log in, lose three games in a row to druid, and log out. Awesome casual player experience.
I’m excited to see what creations people come up with that incorporates Sky Gen’ral Kragg and his feathery friend.
There are only 2 pirate classes right now: Rogue and Warrior. Both dont play quests in meta.
So this legendary seems useless to me.
IT Fix in any quest deck.
Yes but the pirate tag makes it a bad roll in any “Add random Pirate” card in the meta. I bet you will get this card pretty often as pirate warrior. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a hidden nerf to pirate decks. Change my mind. 😛
I’ve had alot of success with it in highlander quest shaman. It should be run in any quest deck imo.
Of course not quest priest! At least not in resurect version. Maybe this will help quest priest go for a midrange approach, but i can’t see why. Also i think it doesn’t fit in quest druid because it doesn’t fit in its curve: This card is an amazing tempo tool for quest decks so this is especially good when played on curve. But at turn 4 druid wants to finish the quest and after it wants to play powerful choose one cards to get value from its quest. And this card doesn’t feel that good. Maybe when going first at turn 5 it curves nicely but i don’t believe quest druid would cut an other card for this.
Your right About druid, but Your forgetting the next best quest: hunter.
I’m certain it Will be good
Sure it fits quest hunter perfectly, which was already in a good shape! And it also boosts all other quests! But I don’t know if its enough to make them viable. I predict quest shaman might come back and maybe some quest rogues would appear again
