Chapter 2 of Galakrond’s Awakening is now out! Once pro players / streamers start testing & posting new decks, we’ll be adding them to this post!
8 new cards are getting released in this chapter, with 16 more left for the two next weeks. If you want to read about archetypes that are getting support this week and that might potentially see more play after eight new cards release, check out our Week 2 Preview!
New Cards Released This Week
Unlike last week, no chapter is free this time around. You have to buy them. Keep in mind that you DON’T have to pay 700g per side – buying it once will give you both sides.

Galakrond’s Awakening Week 1 Deck Lists
We’ll be featuring a bunch of Galakrond’s Awakening decks from pros & streamers. Keep in mind that the early meta can be volatile, not as much as when the full expansion releases, but still. A certain deck working quite well right after the release of new cards (when players haven’t figured out what’s best yet) doesn’t necessarily mean that it will stay as a part of the meta. Which means that doing any crafting until the whole adventure launches is very risky – Week 1 meta might be very different from Week 2 meta, for example.
No new hunter decks? Feeling kind of left out here. There’s at least two different decks for every other class and Hunter has none. Since last week’s chapter released there have been a few highlander variants and the quest-highlander hybrid but oddly enough none of them made it here. I guess it’s just a bad time to be a hunter lol.
Hunter is actually in a pretty decent spot right now with highlander and quest variants. They don’t have any new cards from this week tough so I guess that is the reason for them being left out. If you want decklists, check decks from 1st week.
It doesn’t mean that no Hunter decks are being played, we’re just adding decks from pros & streamers here who post them or play live. And it just happens that we didn’t get those yet (or maybe I just missed them).
Hunter has seen a bunch of play last week and those decks are still viable. It’s definitely not a bad time to be a Hunter! Highlander, Quest and Face builds are all still viable.
HS atm… Embiggen, Strength in Numbers, hello 8/10 “Can’t be targeted by spells of Hero Powers” Winged Guardian, gg. Next up… ah a druid, repeat. Next up… again and again. Pff time to take a break from the forest.
Just play Galakrond Zoolock. I had never played it before today, and I’ve already gone 7-1 against Druid. 3-2 against everything else, but who cares, the meta is 2/3 Druid.
I’m doing the returning player thing on the phone and it crashes every time I log in and reconnect to fighting morgl.
What’s the “returning player” thing? I never quit for long enough to get it :p
But the game has been really unstable on mobile lately, especially on iOS. You might want to try it on PC if you can.
When you stop playing for a while you get a quest to beat 3 challengers (bad AIs), on the second one I crash. I managed to log out of my account while the game was still loading to break the cycle and now I’m back on my main account and have given up on my second one for now.
Works great on Android
… and i can use Arcane Tracker
