Update: Sorry, we’ve missed the new Warrior skin!
SI:7 Anduin will be a part of Book of Heroes: Anduin bundle. The other four hero skins are references to characters from the Chinese 14th century historical novel “Romance of Three Kingdoms”. It was later referenced and adapted in many other novels, films or manga and many of the adaptations are very popular today. We only know that they’ll be obtainable by purchasing some sort of bundles, but we have no details yet. One thing is sure – we’re finally getting a new Rogue skin!
WHY is SI:7 Anduin a PRIEST skin, for pete’s sake? It is SUCH a disappointment. And here I was expecting a new Rogue skin… it’s really stupid because it looks sick. I wish it just either was a Rogue skin or worked for both classes, which there’s no reason it wouldn’t be capable of. Anyway, big disappointment. Yes the Valeera portrait looks okay but can we just have anything other than Valeera please. (and no, not Maiev)
It’s a Priest skin, because Anduin was actually briefly trained by Valeera in the lore and he’s quite proficient in the use of daggers. Anduin in Warcraft is a pretty weird character in general.
I think it would be really cool if both Priest and Rogue could use it, but it could be seriously confusing 🙂
Well, he is pretty weird, after all he is a sword-wielding Priest (which if I remember well is not really possible gameplay-wise in WoW). But I do love him, and I think it really is a missed opportunity that it’s just a Priest skin.
I mean, perhaps I wouldn’t be upset about it if we had a male Rogue Hero, but Hearthstone has been around for like 10 years and that’s still something we don’t have for some reason. Oh well, still a good Priest skin, better than most of the book of heroes ones I’d say!
ffs yes, where is the male rogue skin? When HS came out there were 7 males and 2 females. Now of course Blizzard is so woke that they can barely release a new hero without having to immediately release a female alternate, now all 10 heroes have a female, but no rogue male. Playing a rogue male in WoW (undead?) was great fun and I don’t understand why Blizzard hates male characters so much. How is there not a male rogue after 7 years??

You kidding me? You feel hatred at the idea of someone wanting to play a male rogue?
I mean a female demon hunter seems way more out of place and odd than a male rogue and they could not release Aranna quickly enough.
I do not agree with your post. I simply wish that all classes had one rep of both genders. Generally speaking, Hearthstone has a pretty good balance of genders I’d say, across heroes and minions alike. However there is still no male Rogue, I personally wish there was one since there are good options out there and it’d just be nice to have a male rogue rep. That doesn’t mean all your complain about having female characters all over the place is valid though
I wasn’t complaining actually, just comparing. I don’t have any issues with female characters. I was complaining of the lack of males and pointing out something I found interesting :/ I mean really you think a female demon hunter feels more natural than a male rogue, is all I was saying.
Plus the thing about having 7 males and 2 females when the game came out. Since then they were able to fill in EVERY class plus a new class with females but they can’t do a male rogue. And you think that’s not intentional pandering. All I’m saying is that’s fine if you want to give EVERY class a female but do the same thing for males, since you know, it would be way easier to fill in ONE class that doesn’t have a male than to fill in 8 classes with females first and act like it was an accident. Someone at Blizzard made it a priority to give all classes a female. Then why do males not matter when it would require just ONE new skin when they go above and beyond to make all classes have a female??
Just so you know I don’t prefer males, just for a rogue I would though. Don’t know why but it seems more interesting to me. But if I’m playing mage I’m going Jaina for sure. So I’m not preferential to either gender, just depends on the class and characters.
