“Enchanting” Announcement Coming Soon For Battlegrounds

Blizzard just did what Blizzard does best – they posted an announcement of an announcement. A teaser of a teaser. We all laugh and complain about them, but we eat them up all the same.

It looks like there’s some big Battlegrounds announcement coming soon. The most obvious things that come to mind are either an announcement of the new Battlegrounds season (coming soon with patch 28.2) or more information about the upcoming Battlegrounds Duos mode (releasing next year). Or maybe even both.

Given that X.2 Patch (big Battlegrounds update) usually launched roughly 4 weeks after the expansion’s release, we’re only two weeks away. If I had to guess, I’d say that the patch announcement and all of the reveals will happen over the next week, and the patch itself will drop on December 12. That’s still enough time before Christmas to fix the most game-breaking bugs and do a round of balance changes if necessary. Alternatively, if they want to drop it even sooner, we might hear the announcements this week and the patch will drop next week.

So tired of Anomalies, hopefully they faze it out.

Those mechanics are usually there for a single season. They might come back in the future for a limited time, but I’m pretty sure that they will be gone and replaced with something else instead.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t played almost any BG this season. I’m a semi-casual player and learning play patterns for all of the Anomalies simply felt like too much to bother.

I second that. They looked way more fun than they actually are.
