Mulligans
General Mulligans
Firefly is a really good one drop which is useful in almost every matchup, the same case is with argent squire which with any attack buff, it can trade very effectively.
Aggro Mulligans
The cleric being a 1/3, trades with a lot of 1 health agressive minions, so it is very useful against aggro, this is the same case with all of this minions. Bloodsail corsair is good against aggro because of patches but on top of that, you can get value out of his battlecry against pirate warrior.
Midrange Mulligans
Apart from the 2 good 1-drops, dire wolf alpha is a very good keep if it comes with a powerful 1-drop. With both of these, the 1-drops can trade very easily into enemy 2-drops.
Combo Mulligans
This mulligan is the same as control, as they are very similar archetypes, but combo has more trouble dealing with your pressure.
Control Mulligans
Shadow Ascendant gives a lot of value if it is not dealt with, and control decks don't always have an answer to it and even sometimes, they don't have any because they don't save it, because of the fact that it is very unexpected for a priest to play an impactful 2-drop. Mirage Caller can be targeted into a lot minions to get value (Shadow Ascendant, Tortollan Shellraiser, Cobalt Scalebane, Devilsaur egg). Acherus Veteran puts more pressure into the opponent with aggresive stats and a powerful battlecry. Fire fly is always a good keep.
I have noticed in the last few expansions that priest recieved a lot of cards which benefit from having board presence on the early turn, so I tried making a deck which makes use of these mechanics and this deck is what I came up with. Be warned that this deck is not very competitive and it is very open to refinement, if you have any suggestions to changes you could make to this deck, post a comment below.
no me ha gustao
I’d say drop the eggs as they are too slow and without a way to buff or copy them they’re not that useful. As the last user mentioned a single copy of sw:death could be useful to take down a big minion that could otherwise wipe your board (lich king). Mana geode I think is worth testing because unanswered he can be a huge annoyance for your opponent. He also synergises with knife juggler. Fallen sun cleric could be worth testing but I think acherus veteran is better for its cost. Perhaps lightspawn could be worth a try to as a 5/5 for 4 is good tempo, unfortunately he doesn’t synergise with attack buff minions (his attack stays the same as his health) lastly if you were to drop both 4 drops you could use the 4 mana prince. Good luck
I made changes to the deck with you suggestions, they are always welcome. I disagree on the egg being slow, a lot of the deck synergises with it, some examples of these are: mirage caller, shadow ascendant, cobalt scalebane, bonemare, direwolf alpha and some more. And egg can also give you a good board when it gets cleared.
Hey. I like this deck but i changed some things. I don’t like devilsaurs, soo i’m using 1 sea giant and 1 free from amber. For they r working out quite good on controlish matchups. Not using mirage callers cuz i don’t have them XD. But for that i’m using 1 holynova and 1 shadowform. Not using knife juggler too he’s not that good in my opinon, using shadow word : death. It helps with some ramp druids, big priests and lich king. (some other big creatures too)
I don’t agree with the addition of Free from amber in the deck, seems a bit heavy for a zoo deck. I think another sea giant would be much more useful. Holy nova can be useful as it can also heal your minions, and if you really like this deck, I highly recommend you to use the mirage caller, cause it haves synergy with a huge part of the deck, such as shadow ascendant, devilsaur egg, cobalt scalebane and some more.
