The archetype of this deck is Freeze Mage with a simple mana cyclone package incorporated in it. I stripped down the freeze mage to its bare essentials to make room for 4 cards: Mana Cyclone x2 and Sorcerer’s Apprentice x2. I switched out Acolytes for defense in the form of mirror image which synergize well with the mana cyclones.
This begs the question as to why mana cyclone? The current freeze mage is already optimized as it is. Why re-invent the wheel?
Well, I felt that mana cyclone can provide early bodies on the board to stem early damage while maintaining hand size for Giants. In addition, the spells mana cyclone provides have almost always been invaluable in prolonging the game or even getting you an early pocket galaxy.
A caveat to this deck is that it is nerve-wracking. You will make decisions to face tank and live with HP anywhere around 1 to 15 life for several turns while you setup. This makes this deck difficult to pilot and if you aren’t used to it, it feels as if its inferior to regular freeze mage.
However, I have found that I can win against ALL types of decks with this one. The comeback is real. See links to my comeback wins here:

The general strategy here is to get pocket galaxy on turn 4 for 5 (via coin or sorcerer’s apprentice). Then prolong till you draw your big minions. Or alternatively, do the giant conjurers combo or 1 cost Antonidas + Fireballs (the cheap spells and mana cyclone spells synergize her as well)
The beauty of the deck is in the mental chess you make in managing hand size, board, and outright surviving with single digit health. Trust you me, each match is never boring and each win is so satisfying and not mundane.
If you are looking for a fun deck to play that tests your mental acuity then this is a deck I would recommend.
