Mulligans
Prince Keleseth, the Happy Ghoul package, and Doomguard are out, so Zoo has to start playing fair again :\
Game Plan
It’s zoo. Go wide, play things that reward going wide. Hit ’em in the head until they’re dead.
Card Choices
- Rafaam's Scheme – seems bad to me. But the little dudes trigger Knife Juggler and make Sea Giant/Jumbo Imp cheaper so maybe you get there. Trying it ’cause it’s new.
- Witchwood Imp – I don’t really like this card, but it’s a demon for Impferno/Jumbo Imp, and has an okay deathrattle to curve into EVIL Genius.
- EVIL Genius – this just seems good. You’re gonna be killing a 1/1 a lot of the time because you have a lot of those, and 2 lackeys is definitely worth that.
- Sea Giant – rewards you for going wide by letting you also go tall. sick.
- Impferno – I’m not sure we have enough demons to make the +1 attack good, and the fan of knives AoE is pretty weak. I don’t really see this as a good card, but it’s something to try.
- Jumbo Imp – in theory this is nice compensation for having your board cleared. In practice, I don’t really want to run 2 because I’m not sure there are enough demons, and it’s a bad topdeck generally. Probably better if I was also running Fiendish Circle, but I don’t want to play a bad card to activate a bad card.
- Scarab Egg – such a bummer that if you hit this with Grim Rally, the Scarabs don’t get buffed. Otherwise it just fits into your gameplan nicely.
- Demonbolt – we’re hoping to be wide a lot, so this will often cost ≤ 4, which is a pretty reasonable cost to kill a taunt minion or something.
- Arch-Villain Rafaam – again, new. Not totally pointless, though. Our curve basically ends at 3, so if the game goes long and you need to be tapping into value, this gives your taps more value.
Other options:
- Spellbreaker – silence a taunt. SMOrc.
- Defender of Argus – rewards going wide
- Hench-Clan Hag – makes little demon dudes for your Impferno/Jumbo Imp/general go wide gameplan
- Mecharoo – curves into EVIL Genius nicely
Nice deck, needs Doubling Imp though. Not sure what to replace for them but maybe Demonbolts?
Doubling Imp is definitely your best bet on 3 if you don’t have anything else going on, but without soul infusion or Keleseth it doesn’t excite me too much. -1 Demonbolt -1 big boy for +2 Doubling Imp is probably reasonable. We’ll play around with it.
