Tempo Warrior is back! Well, at least I think so. After a lot of testing, I’ve discovered that Tempo Warrior is quite solid – it has an aggressive early and late game that may be difficult to deal with. The deck list is pretty much the same as how it was after the release of Whispers of the Old Gods: you still include cards such as Frothing Berserker, Kor'kron Elite, and Grommash Hellscream. However, with the release of Knights of the Frozen Throne, the deck is now a lot stronger. Cards like Animated Berserker and Forge of Souls help improve the deck’s overall consistency while adding to its aggressive nature.
Edit: -1 Skulking Geist +1 Bloodhoof Brave. Turns out that there aren’t many Jade Druids in wild.
Questionable Cards in the Deck
- Blood Razor: You guys might be wondering why I didn’t put Death's Bite into the deck. So here’s why: Death's Bite, when compared to Blood Razor, looks stronger because the weapon gives +4 attack rather than +2 attack, plus it’s deathrattle effect synergizes with other cards in the deck. However, even though Death's Bite is strong, Blood Razor simply does the job better. It has two whirlwind effects instead of one, and the whirlwind effect is easier to pull off, since one of them occurs on battlecry. In general, Blood Razor‘s whirlwind effect is just easier to pull off and synergizes better with your various cards.
What can I cut to put Rotface in?
You can probably cut Grommash, Ragnaros, or any other high-cost card.
This deck does fairly well, although i would replace at least one blood razor with a death’s bite.
One thing about your guide is that Geist only removes spells, not minions, so i doesn’t work on animated berserker
Yeah, forgot about that. Thanks, though!
Bloodhoof brave? Cruel Taskmaster? Inner rage? Malkorok? Mountainfire armor? Rotface? i can
mention much more that would fit in
Rotface might do really well. Only problem is, I don’t have him, so I can’t test him 🙁
Furthermore, there’s a lot of cards that fit into the Tempo Warrior archetype. It all comes down to how effective they are in the deck; cards like Inner Rage and Mountainfire Armour don’t make a big enough impact. Cruel Taskmaster is solid, and I’ll if he’s good enough. Also, in my opinion, Malkorok is too inconsistent. Sometimes I get amazing weapons, but most of the time, I get wrecked by bad RNG.
