Introduction
BRM brought tools that made Dragon Priest viable in the first place. Blackwing Corruptor , Twilight Whelp, and even Blackwing Technician were considered staples in the deck before Mean Streets of Gadgetzan arrived. Dragon Priest has received powerful tools, namely Drakonid Operative and Dragonfire Potion, which allow it to survive without BRM, albeit in a heavily weakened state.
Purpose
This deck is aimed at players who do not have BRM, and are not prioritizing it, as it is rotating out of standard soon. It features 8 dragons in the deck (10 if counting Netherspite Historian), which is enough for a Dragon deck. It’s also a more control-geared Dragon Priest, using both Ysera and Dragonfire Potion.
Substitutions
The deck has some odd picks, in order to make up for the loss of BRM. It features double Zombie Chow for early game pressure, and for trading. Potion of Madness is very good for making favorable trades. Double Azure Drake gives you more draw, spell damage, and a dragon to proc your other dragons off of. If you’d like, you can add in a Chillmaw for a big taunt minion, but I found it unnecessary.
