Mulligans
General Mulligans
The early game of this deck is usually pretty consistent due to the deck being almost entirely 2 mana or lower. Generally you want to mulligan for flame imps or cards with synergy like possessed + abusive. I also really like keeping silverware golem if you have a 2 drop that discards because you basically win the game if the discard lands correctly. An extremely fast aggro/zoo discardlock. This deck takes advantage of the new discard synergies for some extreme tempo plays. With perfect draws this deck can kill your opponent by turns 4-5. The double fist of Jaraxxus can be a bit cloggy, but until they release more minions like silverware golem (the mvp of the deck) it feels necessary due to the amount of discard in the deck. Also as a side note: the reason I’m not running typical zoo cards like Defender of Argus and Forbidden Ritual is because those cards tend to take up most of your turn and therefore you can’t burn through your hand as fast. While that may seem like a good thing (and is in typical zoo), the discard mechanic actually synergizes with having a small to empty hand. When you have few cards you increase the chances of discarding a desired card and when your hand is empty you can play discard cards without penalty. Malchezaar’s Imp allow you to get your hand to a comfortable size and then keep it there, so you can maximize your chances of a good discard without giving up as much card advantage.
