Deck Import

Trump’s starting off his climb with a Control Priest deck that focuses heavily on anti-aggro. Deathlord is the premiere early minion stopper, and usually with aggro decks it won’t spawn anything TOO scary. Injured Blademaster is still a great card to combo with Circle of Healing, and if you lose the board you have a single Lightbomb to help get you back in the game. Ysera is used to help win control matchups, and the deck is without a single Big Game Hunter target. The deck is not top tier, but when you are climbing ladder early in the season you tend to see a lot of aggro which is what this deck is built to stop.

why not run leper gnomes instead of zombie chow?

Because Zombie Chow is more of a control card which can trade 2 for 1 in the early game. Leper Gnome is for aggressive decks looking to do damage early and often.

Doesn’t worth shit against a mage with Antonidas.

I’d try running a second Thoughtsteal or Shadow Word: Death and Loatheb.

Fun Deck! Working out better than expected. Especially when you get to cloak Ysera 😛

Replacements for lightbomb? I don’t have it yet. I also don’t have the second cabal shadow priest. Maybe 1 holy nova and 1 dr. Boom?

Had great success against agro and midrange however hand lock and control warrior I did not have any success against. But love the deck against face hunters and zoo 🙂

I tried this deck out and climbed from rank 15 to 13. Deathlords and Sludge Belchers gave big problems to those aggro decks + one of the board clear combos (pyro/spells, nova or soulpriest/circle) was enough to seal the game. Sometimes you dont draw into these and that can lose you some games (esp. against hunter in my case).

Overall it does well against face and midrange hunters, tempo mages, aggro and midrange pallys, zoolock. I faced just one druid and priest completely destroyed them. 1/2 against oil rogues.
On the other hand I lost both of my matches against handlock (didnt draw into lightbomb). I didnt meet any warriors or shamans.

Oh and I dont have Sylvanas and Ysera, I used Emperor and Boom instead.

This deck seems very solid! I’ve gave it a go as anti-aggro, but so far the deck very much holds it’s weight against others as well. 5-1 after first six games: Midrange paladin (w), patron (w), ramp druid (w), face hunter (w), handlock (w), patron (L).

Ranks 13-12 is the only sample I’m afraid, but it’s kinda still early in the season.
