“Odd Deathrattle” Hunter  — guide by TinSonSay

Mulligan:

– In the mulligan here you’re looking for your stickier 1 drop minions first and foremost. Minions like Argent Squire, Fire Fly, and Mecharoo can all help fight the board early and/or get in little bits of chip damage.

Gameplay:

– Baku, the Mooneater: the Hunter class is really strong right now. Something that gives the class strength is its ability to consistently close out games with constant damage through its hero power. With that idea in mind, I decided to make this Hunter deck odd to really capitalize on that hero power value.

– Carnivorous Cube: the cube is great for getting extra value out of your other deathrattle minions, such as Devilsaur Egg and Spider Bomb.  Without Houndmaster Shaw, the cube’s overall potential is weaker in this deck than the popular meta deck it’s used in, but it’s still a very worthwhile inclusion here.

Pitfalls:

As always in my deck deck guides, I like to point out some of the pitfalls of the deck. By pitfalls I mean the ways for the deck to really fail at what it’s intended to do. These are things to watch out for…

– This deck is not meant to go forever and will run out of steam eventually.

– This deck packs limited comeback potential, so if you fall too far behind you may just be out.
