“Big Spiteful” Shaman — guide by TinSonSay
Mulligan:
– The cards to really look for are Bright-eyed Scout and Prismatic Lens. These are crucial for cheating larger threats out early.
– If you get the sense you’re playing against an aggro opponent, consider keeping Corpsetaker.
Gameplay:
– Bright eyed scout: this deck has plenty of positive targets for the scout’s mana reduction to hit. Of these targets, drawing Oakheart and reducing Oakheart’s cost to 5 is usually the best route to a huge board.
– Equality: this is the only real removal in the deck. Combined with Wild Pyromancer or Primordial Glyph it can clear a board, but with no other removal it’s important to find the best time to do so.
– Prismatic Lens: this card is the bread and butter of the deck. It can help push early threats as early as turn 4-5 as well as set up for nice swing turns in the late game.
Pitfalls:
As always in my deck deck guides, I like to point out some of the pitfalls of the deck. By pitfalls I mean the ways for the deck to really fail at what it’s intended to do. These are things to watch out for…
– Drawing Oakheart combo pieces before playing Oakheart severely inhibits the combo.
– Prismatic lens many times renders the spell drawn somewhat useless.
